Didn't you know, Sony paid off 90 of the 93 reviews on MC :laugh1:
Yeah and ND competitors like Blizzard, Capcom and CDPR are paying users to bomb the user scores on different sites. :laugh1:

See, the biggest thing leaked last month was the prologue :p

Imagine what else is in store.

Also, visual comparison of the default FoV and the maxed one. Don't expect something crazy like how PC games allow, but this is a very welcome addition especially at no cost to any performance (so far). More visibility on both sides of the screen:

I'm interrupted twice by power cuts, ugh. Anyway, played till the 'red light' spores area in Seattle and for now, everything is going great. Some important story and character moments have already happened and they were quite moving.

I'm trying to explore around as much as possible because I like collecting and reading notes, apart from sight seeing and gathering resources. Animations and graphics are simply the best I've seen. They have the realism of RDR2 except animations in Part 2 are well balanced and do not slow you down.

The gameplay is quite tense and grounded compared to the first game. Enemies are well numbered and they seem to be smarter than before; it's also more difficult to face them without staying in cover and carefully taking a shot. I tried running out a few times, got shot, and was lying on the ground only to run back to cover. [emoji14]

Stealth is more realistic and challenging, but also quite rewarding and fun. I'm trying to engage more in melee combat because it's pretty fluid with dodge mechanic and preferably a melee weapon. I like the variety in combat and I end up saving most of my ammo because of stealth and melee.

At this point i don't feel like there's anything boring in the game, unless the critics who felt that way don't like exploration (or TLoU gameplay). There are some usual generator and fuel puzzles, or navigation puzzles in general, but they are more about exploration than problem solving and exploration is cool given the breath taking world in the game and stuff to find. A lot of background details come to light through notes and character conversations during this exploration, so it positively adds to the overall narrative.

@Solitary the 'critics' like the post above you are only incensed because of the game's perceived 'SJW' nature, I doubt any of them have played or gotten that far into the game to actually make an informed decision :laugh1:

Look who else is a fan of the game:

Lol yes. Most people seem to be ranting in ignorance instead of playing the game and talking about their experiences. The SJW thing is a complete non issue in the game (as far as I've played). Some bigots and their phobias got the better of them, unsurprisingly, but they were destined to make a fool of themselves right from the start. [emoji14]

5 hours into the game and I'm still exploring the initial Semi open zone. Everything seems to be on point at the moment. Still reeling from the that first major story plot.... DAMN that was so unexpected.

Almost everything is a step up from the first game. Combat, platforming, stealth, sound everything seems to be on point. Those clicker voices are so haunting.

Also, is it just me or there is some weird satisfying thing about breaking windows in this game lol.

There is one complaint i have at the moment which is that the game blocks you from exploring areas after a story event, even if that area is right in front of you. So this happened when i finished the Serevena Hotel story beat and i wanted to go back in to see if i had missed anything inside only to find out that the way has been blocked. The trash can that was initially there to jump into the building just magically disappeared.

Okay so workbenches aren't safe, unlike in the first game. You can and will get spotted by enemies while using them.

Agreed. There's no technical reason preventing ND from allowing this, so I don't get why they went out of the way to block you from revisiting these areas. Though, from what I've seen, it only happens with areas tied to the main story.

Also, I don't like that if you die a couple of times, even on Survivor difficulty, the checkpoints become super lenient. Wish there was a way to disable this behavior so I could repeat the whole encounter from the beginning. Please add a Grounded mode ND (and a trophy for it as well :p )!
