I'm interrupted twice by power cuts, ugh. Anyway, played till the 'red light' spores area in Seattle and for now, everything is going great. Some important story and character moments have already happened and they were quite moving.
I'm trying to explore around as much as possible because I like collecting and reading notes, apart from sight seeing and gathering resources. Animations and graphics are simply the best I've seen. They have the realism of RDR2 except animations in Part 2 are well balanced and do not slow you down.
The gameplay is quite tense and grounded compared to the first game. Enemies are well numbered and they seem to be smarter than before; it's also more difficult to face them without staying in cover and carefully taking a shot. I tried running out a few times, got shot, and was lying on the ground only to run back to cover. [emoji14]
Stealth is more realistic and challenging, but also quite rewarding and fun. I'm trying to engage more in melee combat because it's pretty fluid with dodge mechanic and preferably a melee weapon. I like the variety in combat and I end up saving most of my ammo because of stealth and melee.
At this point i don't feel like there's anything boring in the game, unless the critics who felt that way don't like exploration (or TLoU gameplay). There are some usual generator and fuel puzzles, or navigation puzzles in general, but they are more about exploration than problem solving and exploration is cool given the breath taking world in the game and stuff to find. A lot of background details come to light through notes and character conversations during this exploration, so it positively adds to the overall narrative.
