Suggestion for Music to listen while jogging .

Ni Hao everyone ! Recently ,I'v started jogging .I believe it's better I turn it into a habit as it's pretty beneficial . However due to lack of interesting songs ,jogging wasn't enjoyable .So I was hoping if you people could suggest me music that could make jogging more interesting and make me feel more energetic ?

I have never listened to music while jogging. I believe it does more harm than any good.

I believe you should keep your mind clear of everything, be it your wife/girlfriend, problems at home/work, your own ilness ... WHATEVER. Jogging is also a good way to "make your mind peaceful", and by listening to music you are only gonna upset it more.

If you just want to get rid of the boredom, you can try:
1. Listening to talawat of Quran-e-Pak
2. Get a friend/brother or anyone to join you in jogging, to keep you company.

Either way, its your choice

Hmmmm I don't exactly have anything in mind .I listen to music whenever I'm like going somewhere . I'm not facing any problems either .
I could try listening to Talawat of Quran-e-pak with translation . And the only friend who lives near my place is my classmate and his parents hardly allow him to go out due to CIE .

I would recommend start listening to full albums by artists you know and like and once you've exhausted them branch out.

If you just want workout music get whatever the latest Ministry of Sound is.

Music/Songs definitely makes Jogging/Workouts much better and gets you more pumped up if you don't have company.
It has been a long time since I last went for a Jog or did a workout BUT I used to listen to Awesome Soundtracks of games and movies and my favourite bands. Eminem, Linkin Park, Three days grace, Sum 41, Breaking Benjamin, Skillet and many more work for me (excluding their slow songs).

You should make a list of singers/bands you like, download their discography, and listen to them one by one while Jogging. You'll figure out what pumps you up and what doesn't. After that, make playlists of the songs that really get you going.

Some of the songs that really pump me up/makes me motivated:

What? That's the exact opposite for me. Listening to music while routinely jogging or running clears my head and puts me completely in the mood. I can understand that you can be by yourself and have your own 'zen' by excluding all other factors. But at least for me, music serves quite well for a good jog. I get to listen to new albums and get a good exercise out of it. What's not to enjoy in this.

I respect your opinion though. A lot of people I know are 'purists' in that sense.

Anyway for the OP, I'd recommend some good hard rock or punk. It always helps to push yourself when you feel like it. Sort of a 'energising' factor. Try these:

I've posted a range of sounds if you're into hard rock. If a particular song impresses you then I can perhaps find something similar to it.

^ Its not like i have never listened to music while jogging. I have tried, briefly ... as well as forcefully :mushy:

I noticed the songs/music i adore, became boring and actually torturous during exercise. So i just stopped. Now, the silence & those birds chirping around, that 'cold' breadth feels more pleasurable than anything But ofcourse, that lasts for like 30 minutes. After that, its back to planet earth :hah:
