I have a feeling IronTriggor was a little taken aback by our unorthodox (read noobish) playstyle. Random uppercuts and full screen demons...:p

I'm confused, how would the friend system work with PC players? would they show up in our friend list or what...?
Capcom hasn't announced anything yet but considering they have things like the ability to add rivals and the fact that you have to make your own ID for Capcom's network when you first start instead of using your Steam/PSN ID, I'd say they're most likely going to implement some type of lobbying/friends list.

It's great to see some level of Phadeybaaz community revival for SFV. Hopefully there will be more people on the bandwagon around the game's release.

Finger's crossed for a decent netcode. I still remember the SF4 struggles with that bloody "Unable to join" error.

Fought 3 matches in beta before constant disconnects made me turn it off.
Got bodied by a Bison, then had a Rashid rage quit on me, lastly got beat up by a teleporting Gief.

i think i read it somewhere that it has leagues or divisions now behind the scenes in matchmaking, so lets say ur in gold league or whatever and are much better player than the rest of us 4-5 pakistanis that are online the game will never match us in ranks, which i think is good for the rest of the world but it sucks for us pakistanis because we are so few,and judging from ur impressions since i dont have the beta my self we are not getting connected to uae or dubai players aswell?

Yeah, I've gotten so few matches. It's weird because I got considerably more matches during Beta 3. Don't know what they're testing but I hope it's not an issue with the final game.

I'm thinking what jibrangulabbasi is saying might be true... Like people on GAF are complaining that they cannot remain in training mode for long before they get a match and asking for solution... It's making me so mad right now...

Yeah lol, I've also noticed that the people I'm being matched up with are either around my LP or max of 400 above it. Maybe they are indeed testing out the league system.

Well, maybe we're just going to have to accept that lobbies will be our saving grace when the game's released.

To be fair, random matchmaking has never been successful in areas like Pakistan.. Mainly due to limited number of players and the connections here are mostly garbage, unstable, high pings and slow speed. Even during SF4 era we weren't playing ranked at all, Lobbies were where we mostly played. Playing/Wining in lagg doesn't mean anything and the netcode is Rollback based this time so playing opponents in lagg will not be possible.

Worst of all, now we can't even play UAE ppl so the number of players went even down.. @StrikerX can u help out with this issue?..

Sorry boys, can't help much since I don't actively pester the relevant people anymore but having said that... I'll need the server IPs, if you have em then post here or PM me and I'll see what's going on. Routing is a tricky thing, it has to be corrected on both ends (ISP and server network) and sometimes one gets lucky and ISP or server side network automatically pick the route that is optimal.

So I got the time to play the beta late last night and here are some stats followed by my general and online impressions for the game.

Time played: 2 hours
No. of Ranked Matches: 12-15
Location: Germany
Connection: Wireless
Internet speed: 50mbps

Online/Netcode Impressions
In my short time with the beta, I got around 15 ranked matches and the connection was stable and very playable with at least 10 of them. I only got one match with someone outside of Europe and that was in the USA and the connection was very good. I faced only one mid-match disconnection. The matchmaking took on average around 3-4 minutes to find a match while I was in the training mode or on the main menu. Overall I think the new netcode is much better than SF4. The only thing that's left to be desired is Rematch option for online mode but maybe they give us that in the final game *fingers crossed*

General Impressions
Played the game at Gamescom last year quite extensively so the experience was mostly similar with the BETA. Graphics are decent, main menu OST is absolutely fantastic. I think the final roster of 16 characters is ridiculously small. Would have been cool to have F.A.N.G playable in the BETA but maybe he will be an unlock-able character.

In terms of how the gameplay feels, I believe the animations are much less smoother in SFV than its predecessor. No I'm not talking about animations like throw cancel, rather the most basic animations like normal attacks. There's a split-second freeze when there are medium and high hits which kind of breaks the flow of the game. Will need to get used to that. If you still don't get what I'm talking about, I don't blame you.

Since the character I play (Vega) is totally changed I will have to relearn him but that's no biggie.

But overall the game feels easier to play than SF4 and that's a good or a bad thing depending on where you're coming from.

Definitely excited about the final game and looking forward to playing (and having a decent connection) with you guys.

pretty bad... Rollback code makes playing matches a chore...
Lobbies on the other hand would hopefully be better...
The game and it's animation itself feels a little stiff (for a lack of a better word) there is too much feeling of impact present whereas SF4 was butter smooth. It just feels a little strange...
