True. And here's the confirmation on that front.relax ppl there are bound to be character outfits in the game... wouldn't be surprised if they also do a retro ken outfit in there too
Capcom confirms classic costumes in Street Fighter 5 will become available down the roadEarlier today, IGN sat down with Capcom's director of marketing and eSports, Matt Dahlgren, over at San Diego Comic-Con to discuss the latest addition to the roster and more.
During the interview, Dahlgren confirmed something that many of us have been wondering about for some time now: classic costumes. When asked if we'll eventually see an option to equip our characters with their retro digs, the Capcom representative had this to say.
"Of course! I mean, if you look at what happened with Street Fighter 4, there's tons of variety in terms of costumes," Dahlgren said. "We'll definitely be doing that in the long run."
Specifically addressing those who may not be as enthusiastic about Ken's new look as others, he continued, "those that want a classic Ken, I'm sure it'll be in the pipeline at some point."
whatI hate this shit man. Why they keep under powering Ryu? They are ruining of the main characters. Im not a Ryu player but I started the SF journey with Ryu like most people. In-fact I like Ken mixups more than Ryu and usually go with Ken. But they are effing with the main character. C'mon
There are 16 characters at launch, a pretty decent number and this style of content unlocking is great since it keeps people coming back for more and you don't even need to pay for it. I'm not really seeing any downsides here. With the news coming that it is some sort of grindfest to unloch characters.
I am expecting it to be similar to Killer Instinct style season shit.
Sony if you moneyhatted, atleast make it a full experience like SF4 and not shitty grinfest with 8-10 characters at launch.

Come on Golden Coin, you can't unlock characters in Killer Instinct for free. The F2P version just keeps rotating characters for you to pick each week. You can only play with one character at a given time. In order to play with the whole lineup, you have to purchase the paid version. With the news coming that it is some sort of grindfest to unloch characters.

lol a majority of the game's funding is coming from Capcom. Sony spent some money to eliminate the Xbox One from the equation.Sony if you moneyhatted, atleast make it a full experience like SF4 and not shitty grinfest with 8-10 characters at launch.
My bad, I keep forgetting you're the proud owner of an Xbox One. Would be nice of you to update the consoles listed beneath your avatar.Golden coin knows the ins and outs of Killer Instinct. Infact i play it daily.
Would you rather pay another $60 for Super SFV and Ultra SFV?16 characters for 60$. Man that is stupid expensive title.
I dont know man. With Capcom you can expect any kind of stupid dlcs and microtransactions. There are 16 characters at launch, a pretty decent number and this style of content unlocking is great since it keeps people coming back for more and you don't even need to pay for it. Skullgirls and Yatagarasu have around 12 or so characters each, the games are still doing fairly well. The last major fighting title that came with 16 fighters was KOF 15 or something and that crashed and burned.
I hope there is proper Arcade mode and not gimmick laden shitfest that was SFvT was.
I don't really think fighting games need huge rosters, look at SF x T, it had so many characters I don't think I even used a quarter of them.I dont know man. With Capcom you can expect any kind of stupid dlcs and microtransactions.
I like tradational style fighting game with huge line up at launch.
Killer Instinct and Tekken Revolution like minimum rosters are not fun.
Skullgirls costs 15$Skullgirls and Yatagarasu have around 12 or so characters each, the games are still doing fairly well.

You seen their panel? they want to get rid of different versions of the same game ala Super Street Fighter and Ultra Street Fighter, etc. This initiative makes it seem like Capcom is evolving into a better company. Though it does remain to be seen how heavy the grind is for the "Fight money" but I'll stay positive until the game actually comes out or more information comes out. [emoji14]
If you add in all the DLC characters that price goes up to $45.Skullgirls costs 15$
