Moveset is really different. Very aggressive in your face character.

Character design seems lazy. Too much Akuma like rage and shit.

[h=2]Street Fighter 5 beta taken offline due to server issues, will be extended to compensate[/h]

Street Fighter 5's PlayStation 4 beta went live yesterday evening, but Capcom took it offline this morning for "extended maintenance" because of severe connectivity issues that prevented people from playing it, the company announced today.
Players first ran into network issues soon after Capcom launched the beta at 6 p.m. PDT yesterday, with many individuals finding themselves unable to get past the initial screen. Capcom acknowledged the issues yesterday evening and said it was working to resolve them. The company took the beta down for hours of maintenance overnight, and provided the following update at 7 a.m. PDT today:

We apologize for the ongoing issues that users have been experiencing with the SFV beta test. In order to allow us to fix the issues as quickly as possible, we are going to initiate a period of extended maintenance, during which time the beta will be unavailable to all users. We will let you know the date on which the closed beta test will re-open once all problems have been fixed. We sincerely apologize for having to bring this unfortunate news to you. Thank you for your patience. Please stay tuned for further updates.
Capcom said last night that it will be "extending the beta to make up for lost time."
Yoshinori Ono, executive producer on the Street Fighter series at Capcom, apologized for the issues on Twitter today:
I'm very apologetic towards players.I'm sorry that I don't have enough ability about SFV beta.Plz give me chance for re-scheduling SFV beta.
— Yoshinori Ono (@Yoshi_OnoChin) July 24, 2015

The Street Fighter 5 PS4 beta was originally scheduled to run from July 23-28. Ryu, Chun-Li, M.Bison and Nash were initially available to play, while Birdie and Cammy were set to be released into the beta July 25. Capcom said it will also conduct a beta for the Windows PC version of the game this fall.
For more on Street Fighter 5, check out the game's first all-new character, Necalli.

[h=2]Street Fighter 5 beta still dark, Capcom still promising to extend it[/h]

Street Fighter 5's public beta has been offline all day for maintenance, bringing additional assurances from Capcom that the beta will be extended beyond its original July 28 closing date, Capcom said earlier today on Twitter.
For those wondering, we will be extending the BETA period to make up for the issues we've been experiencing.
— Street Fighter (@StreetFighter) July 26, 2015

Capcom still did not say how long it would extend the beta; it made similar promises of an extension on Friday, when it took the beta offline for the first wave of extended maintenance. Almost from the beginning of its July 23 launch players had difficulty getting past the game's initial screen. The beta returned yesterday afternoon but it appears to be unable to cope with the large numbers of users trying to participate.
Access to the Street Fighter 5 beta on PlayStation 4 was given to anyone who preordered the game (in North America or Latin America; other regions had different access rules). A PC beta is expected but no details or dates for it have been given.

[h=2]Street Fighter 5 beta taken offline, now postponed indefinitely[/h]

Capcom has taken Street Fighter 5's beta servers offline for extended maintenance, the publisher said in an update today, and postponed the planned beta until further notice.
"After three days of testing, while we were making progress and collecting valuable data, we felt the majority of players were not having a good experience, and the best course of action would be to take the servers offline for extended maintenance," Capcom said on its Capcom-Unity blog. "We will be postponing our first beta phase until we believe the experience is going to be a positive one for players."

The Street Fighter 5 beta for PlayStation 4 went online on July 23, but was plagued with performance and connectivity problems. Capcom took the beta offline previously to attempt to address those issues, promising to extend the length of the beta, but problems persisted.
"While the purpose of a beta is to work out these type of issues, it was very clear that the issues we faced were more severe than we were prepared for," Capcom said.
Capcom planned to run three beta test periods for Street Fighter 5 and said that this week's failed attempt won't count toward that number. Players will still have three opportunities to play the game's beta in the future.
Access to the Street Fighter 5 beta was granted as a pre-order incentive for the PS4 and Windows PC game. The initial beta included access to six of the game's planned 16 characters and was scheduled to run for five days.

The beta was a complete mess lol. Only managed to play one match and spend an hour in practice mode.

Though, thankfully, they now know what's wrong with their servers. Hopefully, the next phase will be a smoother experience. The netcode itself is fantastic.

[h=2]Vega returns for Street Fighter 5[/h]

The newest addition Street Fighter 5's roster is Spanish ninja Vega (also known as Claw), Capcom confirmed in a press release alongside a new gameplay video today.
Vega is the ninth character confirmed for Street Fighter 5's roster, which Capcom says will feature 16 playable fighters when the game launches for PlayStation 4 and Windows PC next year. In the gameplay video above, you can watch Vega beat up on recently confirmed character Necalli, Street Fighter 5's first original fighter.

Here's how Capcom describes Vega as he appears in Street Fighter 5:
Vega brings with him a brand new set of tricks, as well as a new appearance. Still possessing his trademark speed and quickness, he now has access to two distinct fighting modes: claw or no-claw. With the no-claw style giving him access to command grabs as well as new attack properties, players will need to toggle between both styles to pull off that winning KO at the end of the fight. Vega's powerful V-Trigger is the Bloody Kiss, which sees him throw a rose at high velocity towards his opponent, before he charges at full speed right behind it, delivering a series of brutal attacks. This Spanish matador is definitely a fighter to keep your eye on, if you can.
Both Vega and Necalli will be playable in a new build of Street Fighter 5 at Gamescom this week.

[h=2]Street Fighter 5 is bringing back pro wrestler R. Mika[/h]

Professional wrestler Rainbow Mika, who made her debut in Capcom's fighting game franchise with Street Fighter Alpha 3, is coming back for Street Fighter 5, Capcom announced today. And this time, she brought a tag-team partner.
In Street Fighter 5, R. Mika can get a tag-team assist from her partner Nadeshiko as part of her V-Trigger special move.
"By calling Nadeshiko at the right time using R. Mika's V-Trigger ability, players will be able to set up sneaky attacks and punishing command grab mix-ups that are sure to deliver devastating amounts of damage," Capcom said in a press release. "Players who enjoy putting on a stunning display of fear-inducing close-combat guessing games will find R. Mika a colorful and rewarding way to play."
Depending on the input direction players choose for R. Mika's V-Trigger, Nadeshiko will deliver either a body splash from above, a dropkick from the front or a dropkick from behind. You can see examples of those tag-team attacks in the video above and gallery below.
R. Mika's V-Skill special move sees her whip out a microphone and deliver a monologue to the crowd, boosting her attacks. The longer players monologue (by holding down the buttons), the more powerful her attack boost will be.
Street Fighter 5 is scheduled to hit PlayStation 4 and Windows PC in 2016.

[h=2]Street Fighter 5 brings back Karin[/h]

Street Fighter Alpha 3 fighter Karin Kanzuki is returning for Street Fighter 5, Capcom announced at Tokyo Game Show today.
Karin fights with her unique brand of "Kanzuki style" martial arts. In practice, Karin's a rekka-style fighter, meaning her special moves chain together multiple controller inputs. That gives her a wide variety of mix-up options, which will keep her opponents guessing. In fact, her V-Trigger special move unlocks a special set of mix-ups, making her truly deadly against players who aren't knowledgeable of Karen's move set. Her V-Skill maneuver is a lunging punch, and the longer a Karin player holds down the V-Skill inputs — medium punch and medium kick — the more powerful her final attack will be. Karin's V-Skill is also capable of nullifying projectiles from other fighters.

For a look at Karin, one of the game's most-requested characters, Capcom says, check out her debut gameplay trailer above. A batch of screenshots can be seen in the gallery below.
Karin is the 12th fighter to be confirmed for Street Fighter 5. Her announcement comes days after an all-new character, Rashid, was announced for Capcom's fighting game.

[h=2]Zangief is coming back for Street Fighter 5[/h]

Russian wrestler Zangief will be playable in Street Fighter 5, Capcom confirmed today. The bear-wrestling grappler — who's been part of the franchise since 1991's Street Fighter 2 — may look pretty familiar in Zangief's first gameplay video, but some big changes are in store for the character.
Zangief's trademark spinning lariat and command throws are still part of his arsenal, but like other Street Fighter 5 characters, he's equipped with new V-Skill and V-Trigger moves. His V-Skill, Iron Muscle, lets him absorb an opponent's hit and leaves Zangief with recoverable health. If players hold the medium punch and medium kick buttons, as opposed to just tapping them, they can unleash a flexing move at the end of Iron Muscle. His V-Trigger, Cyclone Lariat, causes Zangief to spin, pull in his opponent and hit them multiple times.
To see Zangief in action, check out his debut gameplay trailer above.
Street Fighter 5 is coming to PlayStation 4 and Windows PC in 2016.

[h=2]Street Fighter 5's newest character is a Brazilian woman[/h]

Street Fighter 5's next character appears to be an all-new fighter, a Brazilian by the name of Laura, according to what looks like a premature release on Famitsu.com.
Several screenshots of Laura, since removed from the site, apparently were mixed in with images of Zangief, whose return was announced on Thursday. Laura appears to employ electrical powers in her fighting style.

The screenshot above was lifted from Famitsu before it was taken down. The Japanese website Shukan Umejin has more.
Street Fighter 5 comes to PlayStation 4 and Windows PC in 2016. If you're playing on PC, check out the minimum and optimal hardware specs here.

What is peoples obsession with Battle Royale genre. 6 minutes to find a match, 3 minutes to setup a match, 2 minutes to land, 10 minutes for scavanging maybe 2 3 gunfigts and its over. Multiplayer landscape is looking absolute dogshit.
I tried playing Apex Legends once. Couldn't find a gun for 5 minutes straight. If I found a gun, I couldn't find the right ammo for it. Got killed fighting with my fists. Uninstalled it the next day.
