Has anyone been able to configure the ONT in bridge mode for the internet VLAN . I have my own router that i want to use as the primary router and the main device should act as dumb passthrough

The ONT devices themselves support the bridge modes for individual vlans but they lock you out of the ONTs specific options

On Huawei ONTs, it takes 2 minutes to change the WAN profile from Route mode to Bridge mode, but you need full admin access to the ONT.

On PTCL the way to access it is admin as the username and the last 8 characters of the MAC as the password.

If that doesn't work on SF, then I guess you're out of luck unless someone from their backend team is willing to make an exception for you.

Highly unlikely.

I think it's more likely that they'll configure bridge mode for you (remotely) if you ask for it enough. Just have to be persistent and reach the right person in the right department.

To answer your other question about CATV, I don't think bridge mode will affect that but it depends how SF is feeding IPTV to customers.

I emailed them to give me the password, the clueless helpdesk engineer gave me the credentials to what i already had. In worst cases they reset the device without any warning and all your settings are lost

Usually the username and password for admin access is; admin and password is ; your name first letter capital asterisk and then your year of birth

Hello fellow users, I'm a customer from Karachi, I just got the stormfiber HD Box through the T20 World Cup offer which was going on last month, almost everything is working fine, the video & audio quality is amazing though around 20+ channels at the end of the channels list with names like TVS, TVP, TVG etc. are not working and showing a popup which says 'you are not authorized to watch this channel'. Is this an issue with me only and should I contact the customer service and tell them about it or is it a usual thing with all TV Box users, if this a normal thing why are these channels present anyway in the list if they're not available for any customer, any info or knowledge about this thing would be helpful for me. Also would be glad to know from you all about some tips & tricks about the HD Box and safety precautions so that the Box keeps working in optimal condition, thanks in advance.

The fact that you're asking here instead of actually contacting customer support for a service you paid for but aren't getting it is surprising.

That said, as to how to keep the box running optimally? Use it for its intended purpose, don't use it as a server. These boxes are dedicated to perform specific actions. The best thing you can do is ensure there's ample ventilation around your box (enough for air to passively flow around).
