I don't know if most people are aware but there has been going some conflicting reports about google going to ban playstore services in Pakistan from 1st December 2022 altogether due to non-payment by state bank.

I have been following it for a week now and i have seen conflicting articles and there are basically 2 different opinions which i am going to list:

1. Playstore will block app-downloads payments from its platform altogether because state bank has stopped payments of around $35 Million USD. If this is the case that is extremely bad.

2. The other reports i read is that no, playstore will remain accessible from 1st Dec in Pakistan, you will continue to be able to buy apps/subscriptions with credit/debit card but direct billing through your local mobile carrier will be blocked (But direct carrier billing is already unavailable for quite some time).

Now i don't know which it is going to be, if it is point 1 then its going to be extremely bad. Being unable to use/buy playstore in this time of digital age is the worst that could happen to Pakistan's IT industry. If its point 2, then its just meh, who cares? You lost 1 way of billing but you could continue with your credit/debit cards.

So what is it going to be? Anyone got some solid number on this? I have several yearly/monthly subscriptions on playstore active that i rely on almost daily which will be disastrous for my workflow to end. Not to mention buying subscriptions for MOST services through google play store in our local currency is ALMOST ALWAYS much cheaper then buying directly from their official website due to regional pricing.
