Started this over the long weekend.

I was surprised to see that the game had an enormous 100 GB update that i HAD to download before the playing the game.

Coming from FF XVI, the game looks incredible but it has some severe performance issues on the PS5. I am experiencing constant stutters on the performance mode, even with VRR on.

I would have really appreciated if the game had a proper story overview of the previous game. Even though I have played the first game, i don't remember much of the story or the characters.

Also, is it just me or does this one has a lot more platforming compared to the first one ?

Try these settings to remove/minimize stutter

• Performance Mode: On
• Field of View: Narrower/Narrowest
• HDR Output: Off
• Motion Blur: Off
• Film Grain: Off
• Chromatic Aberration: Off
• Camera Shake: 50 – 0 %

Personally, I am not buying any EA game on launch, as they use gamers for QA testing.
The best strategy is to wait 1-2 years when properly patched, hopefully.

Basically, you just convince yourself that it plays worse on another platform. Problem solved! Your mileage may vary but it works for CerebralTiger
