what is going to be the status of my digital library on ps5 ?
in these times there is absolutely no excuse with sony regarding backwards compatibility so then why are they still getting a pass?

They have already confirmed backwards compatibility multiple times. Back in March after Cerny's announcement, official Sony PR mentioned 'thousands' of PS4 games will work at launch period. We just don't know if its universal 100% compatibility yet.

PS5 having backwards compatibility is really old news by now.

I think this gen both MS and Sony will ramp up their cross-gen compatibility efforts more, if not for brownie points than for the current economic situation.

Both MS and Nintendo have said on separate times that releasing new hardware on time isn't the issue, the bigger issue is the ability for developers to work on games during the lock down. Both Sony and MS are banking on their next machines to play (most of) the games from the current gen so it doesn't feel like there's absolutely nothing to do on the new consoles.

Don't think there is going to be a price reveal in the upcoming event. That's one of the last cards to play and each side will probably wait for the other to play their move. Sony has been reluctant from the beginning.

Let's see if the event even happens now. Some other companies like EA were hosting event to reveal Madden 2021 in the first week of June but have delayed it because of the current politically charged climate.

Though, Sony is not a US centric company nor they were supposed to show a US centric product like Madden. Fingers crossed there are no delays.

sony people are egotastic fools. they first refuse to accept BC than after seeing ms's success with BC they started bringing out ps2 classics and stuff on the ps4, couldn't do ps3 stuff coz that systems architecture according to them was different than other consoles so couldn't be ported so sony peeps had to again buy ps3 remasters on ps4. so that shit kinda sucks. MS does BC the right way and the new series X is even improving upon that saying that any previously owned game would be free to play on the XSX via BC

Now is not ‘a time for celebration,’ Sony says

Sony has delayed the PlayStation 5 reveal event that was previously scheduled for Thursday, June 4, saying that the company “[does] not feel that right now is a time for celebration and for now, we want to stand back and allow more important voices to be heard.” Sony has not announced a rescheduled date.
The company had planned to offer a first look at PS5 games in an hourlong presentation on Thursday ahead of the next-gen system’s launch this holiday season.

Sony’s decision comes after a week of anger, unrest, and protest over the killing of George Floyd, the man who died at the hands of Minneapolis police on May 25. Since Floyd’s death, thousands of protestors have taken to the streets of major cities and to destinations online to denounce violent policing tactics and to shine a light on the racism and systemic inequality that disadvantages and cuts short black lives in the United States.
On Monday, Sony Interactive Entertainment also issued a statement in support of black people, saying on Twitter, “We denounce system racism and violence against the Black community. We will continue to work toward a future marked by empathy and inclusion and stand with our Black creators, players, employees, families, and friends. #BlackLivesMatter”

The statement followed a broader corporate statement from Sony, which read, “Being silent about the violence and racism Black people experience is being complicit. We stand in solidarity today and every day with the Black community. #BlackLivesMatter”

Sony’s decision to delay its event follows a similar move from publisher Electronic Arts. On Sunday, EA announced it was postponing a reveal of Madden NFL 21 planned for Monday, saying on Twitter, “We stand with our African American / Black community of friends, players, colleagues and partners. Our immediate attention is on actions we can take to drive change against the unjust treatment and systemic bias that is plaguing the nation and our world. We’ll find another time to talk football with you. Because this is bigger than a game, bigger than sports, and needs all of us to stand together and commit to change.”

Yes it's a moot point cause the final form factor is never the same as a dev kit, but also vapor chambers are inherently cooler, one of the reasons the XBX is so quiet compared to PS4 Pro even though it runs higher spec components and has a smaller form factor.
