[SOLVED] Sim activation?

Okay here's some back story, My jazz MBB device wasn't connecting to the network so i put the sim in my phone to connect to network manually, the phone was on emergency calls and still couldn't connect to the network, so the plan was to go into the settings and the usual mobile network but i saw a "+" sign next to mobile network, i thought that would add the sim card to this phone or whatever but instead it took me to this screen:

I then inserted my Zong sim back into the device and lo and behold, the same problem. It just doesn't recognize any sim and mobile network just brings me to the screen above and looks like this:

Device info:
Model: Pixel 2
Android version: Android Q

TL;DR: Phone doesn't recognize any sim after inserting an MBB sim into it.

I have had this phone for more than a year now i think, and never had any problem. I would really appreciate any help in this regard.

Just out of curiosity, what's the IMEI status on PTA DIRBS site?

The first screen that you saw was for eSIM activation.

Power off your phone. Keep it off for a few minutes with no SIM card inserted.

Insert a non MBB SIM and then power the device back on.

Imei status is "PTA-Compliant", like I said i have had this device for almost more than a year, the phone's registered. The problem's still there even after keeping the phone off for around 30 min.

Unlock BL, flash June 2019 factory image and see if it works.

If it does, then Q is a buggy POS (no surprises there). If it doesn't, then the issue is something else.

That was my last resort guess I have no other choice, thanks for helping.

Apparently, factory resetting the phone fixed it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
