Yeah, I think @Blastwave know about it better as once he transfered money via his SCB account to ours online and I think there were no charge on it? not sure though

SCB -> SCB is without charges but I've heard that other accounts -> non-maintained SCB now has a fee

Just posting out of self righteousness, if I 'ever' implied of buying this website, I never intended to make money out of it. I love this platform and I wanted it to stay alive because I wouldnt have been able to love with the fact that it went down and I didnt do anything even though I could. i didnt want it to suffer the fate like that of most other forums where finances become an issue.

If you want to know why then its because I am a part of it and I cant allow that something so awesome goes down just cuz of financial. issues. So dont label me as a greedy money maker just because you think of me that way, I have given my reasons.

donations no problemo but a progressive approch to solve the funding problem should be there --

@ inferno . why not allow advertisments as on other forums , maybe part of the cost is covered there , just a suggestion .

I'm definitely in for a donation. Although I'm not too active on the forums and stuff, I would hate to see such a thriving community fall apart because of financial issues. I will donate whatever I can to keep this site active.

The thing is, donations will be made only from those members(including myself) who know the real value of the forum and they know that whatever they pay is worth it. A guy with 200 random posts or a newbie will never pay a membership fee or a donation unless it feels the need to be here. So, here we need a plan like first let the people get addicted to PG, then ask for donation/membership.

Not speaking strictly, but people with above 1000-1500posts must require to pay for membership or they are out(lols)

No body from proprietors has clearly so far substantiated and categorically conveyed that there is any financial or funding problem and if it is so, what are the average figures of incomes and expense per month. There is a need of clear-cut statement with facts and figures enabling members to understand gravity of the issue.

SCB charging Rs.464 on online deposit if the beneficiary account has less than Rs.100,000 at credit. So make sure the account if to be maintained in SCB has a balance of above 100k.

As far as the matter of fee / charges to be levied upon the marketplace members is concerned, I have a weird type of idea in my mind which I would like to share here and you are not bound to agree with me.


I suggest that let the existing structure run without any changes i.e. how many thread in a week a member can create in the marketplace and when to bump (after 4 days) etc and similarly existing terms, conditions and tariff for premium sellers shall prevail as it is. BUT create a new class or group of sellers to be called as "Elite Group". Allow this group to create as many threads as they want and bump their threads as much as they wish. In lieu thereof, charge them with a security fee of Rs.2000, Rs.50 for creating each thread and Rs.10 per BUMP .


Suppose if a member of the elite group creates 10 threads in a day, he/she will be paying Rs.500 as thread opening fee. If he is bumping his 10 threads once a day, he will pay Rs.100 for that 10 bumps. If one is bumping his one thread for 10 times a day, he will be charged Rs.100 @ Rs.10/bump. It should be upto the member to bump the thread 10 times a day or after 10 days. There should be an auto system of invoice in the profile of member showing his outstanding dues with detail of threads and bumps. As soon as the outstanding dues are accumulated to 1k, a system generated reminder be sent to him for clearance of dues. If the outstanding dues touching 2k, his / her activity be restricted and confined till clearance of outstanding dues.

This is just a vague idea which can further be discussed, elaborated, refined and polished to make it more better and practicable.

Good idea, SCB is close to my house so there would be no problem depositing monthly donation, everyone can spare some money let it be 100rs with so many members the donation ca easily cover the running cost or maybe improve PG.

Meezan bank is here with no online charges.

I have bank islami account and when I use atm to transfer payment to some scb allied etc account holder . it charge only Rs50 but minimum online is Rs. 500

Me too, 500 per month (or once every 2 months ), isn't all that a big dent in wallet.
Will only need account number and can make inter bank transfer, whenever Inferno is ready to provide details.
