"[FONT=Source_sans]AMD could be prepping a 12nm Polaris 30 GPU to be launched before the end of 2018, according to leaks out of China.

The part, which would appear in a series of Radeon RX-600-branded graphics cards, will offer a 15 per cent performance boost compared to current RX-500 series cards, which were a minor refresh on 2016's RX-400s. "

This is just a rumor as of right now. If AMD can put up a competitor to GTX 1070/80 there will definitely be a stir in the market. Navi still coming out next year. 2019-2020 look great for competition.[/FONT][FONT=Source_sans][/FONT]

If they come up with cards that increase FPS and all that on 4k resolution and hdr then they will win the next battle of cards .i am so much disappointed with nvidia coming up with a vague Rtx concept

Now is the right time for AMD to step in with a high-valued product. However, RTX is whole next level to compete.
Besides competitive price, AMD also needs to focus on a serious performance boost over RX 5xx series so people would consider RX 6xx series GPUs over NVIDIA 1070.

If they can give GTX 1070 performance for under 250 dollars with this new 600 series then I might consider selling my GTX 1060.

RX 590 seems to be a refresh of 580 with better clocks and thermals. Expect mid to mid-high tier performance. Plus side to this is that there will be even more mid tier options and prices shouldn't rise above MSRP now that mining is dead.
