R7 260x No Display Issue

My Cousin recently bought a Gigabyte R7 260x 2GB. When he plugged it on his system, there was no display on his lcd. His PC specs are Intel DH61WW, i3 2120, 4GB 1333Mhz Ram, 460watts Sparkle PSU. His system was working absolutely fine when GTS250 was plugged in. GPU is not the culprit as it gave the display on my DG41WV mobo Core 2 duo setup.

His Mobo Bios Version is 0.0041 and currently 0.0120 update is there on intel website. Is BIOS the cultprit? If yes then can anyone please give me a detailed instruction on how to update his Mobo Bios. As it seems like first i have to update to some other Bios and then install the latest updates. I dont want to crash his Mobo.

download the bios and make the bootable usb.then transfer that bios in usb..use good branded PSU like corsair GS,AX or RM or cooler master 700 watts..

Did you try different wires? I had a similar issue with 7750. Turns out the HDMI wire I had didn't work with that GPU. VGA worked, as did another HDMI later.

Well I tried connecting it via DVI to HDMI on a Samsung 32 inch LED, still no display.

apply this card to some other pc and see that it shows display or not,sometimes the card can be faulty too.

I Had the same issue, Updating the Bios will most probably fix. And you dont even have to make a bootable flash, just put the bios installation file (downloaded from Intel) in your normal flash and press the key (was f7 for me) at startup and select the location of the bios update on your flash.

Card works fine on other PC. I m keeping my fingers crossed and will update the bios. Hope that everything goes well. Should i directly update it to the latest one or should i go step by step by installing previous version first

You need to update it one by one, dont update it directly to latest version.

Finally updated the Bios from 0.042 to 0.099 but the latest one is 0.120 and yes it did the job. Card is running perfectly now. Thankyou everyone

It seems gigabyte gpus have this issue commonly as last year i bought gigabyte 270x and faced exactly same issue no disply on my pc but working fine on other bios update didnt help either and even changing the motherboard and in the end replaced gpu and problem solved
