Initially at least two Xiaomi phones were granted PTA’s type approvals, including Xiaomi Mi Max and Xiaomi Mi 5.

Type approvals for Xiaomi Note 3 and Xiaomi Note 4 will also be obtained with-in next few days, sources have confirmed to us.

A Pakistan Telecommunication Authority spokesperson confirmed to ProPakistani that the authority has granted Xiaomi the required NOC — to operate and sell phones in Pakistan — after Xiaomi complied with all the requirements that are set by the government.

Go Xiaomi.... but will they launch special models for Pakistan as there was some hardware change required?(if i remember correctly or was it just on software level?)

CN models had same IMEI for both sims I think while global didn't have that issue. Correct me if I am wrong [MENTION=42544]murtaza12[/MENTION]

Not wrong, that was exactly the case.

International models sold outside China had different IMEIs for both SIM slots.

However, because some people were importing the Chinese variants, PTA had issues with them, hence all this drama.

I still feel this is just bullshit and that ProPK gets our hopes up too early, as you could tell by my mean comment on their post.

Hahaha they've jumped the gun before as well, true that.

A member of PGGG said its true this time (someone he knows is working with the vendor/Xiaomi? ) So... fingers crossed!

Xiaomi.pk or something like that? Wasn't that the site that got everyones hopes up very recently and then got taken down by PTA?

I'm hoping this is actually OFFICIAL and not just some shady crap.

google pixelxl also has EIS and is arguably the best video cam without shakiness
