Phanteks Evolv does not support this motherboard as it is bit extended from standard E-ATX size. Also, there is a backplate on it which covers less than 45% of the back area. That would mean there would be a bend or flex in the board if placed inside the chassis which gave another challenge of installing the graphics cards. There is simply no way to install them after placing this board inside. Either one would have to remove the backplate off the motherboard and Rubber Grommets off the Chassis right infront of the board placement or find some other way around. Removing the backplate would mean the LEDs on the right side of the board will no longer will be there. The only way around was to install the graphics cards on the motherboard outside of the chassis and then put all of them together inside the chassis. Which was another challenge as I was dealing with two cards and both are hybrid, meaning there are radiators and hoses to be carried as well. Well, Challenge accepted and outcome will be on the bottom here for you guys. :D

Yup those are Power Links covering the PEG cable connectors on both cards above.

Next up was to pass the 24 ATX cable, PEG cables, SATA cables through the rubber grommets before placing the board inside the chassis. Also, that brought up the third challenge for me that how would I access the bottom headers of the motherboard once it is installed as bottom card would restrict the space to almost un reachable. Figured that out by passing all cables like front USB 3.0 cable, system panel connector, USB 2.0 cables, fan splitter cables from underneath the chassis and mounting them on the board first. I wish I had more than two hands at that time. Took me hour or so in doing all that and finally motherboard was inside the chassis.

See above. CPU socket is not covered. Biggest mistake while building. Always keep the socket cover to safe guard it. Now, once after all these components were inside and cables connected. It was time to decide the configuration and position of radiator. This chassis supports upto 360mm on the front and upto 360mm on the top with single 120/140 mm on the rear. Yup, that's correct, this is too much for a mid tower chassis but Evolv has magical design to it. I did not install the RAM earlier for a simple reason of routing the H100i V2's USB and fan cables in that area. Initially, I mounted the two 120mm rads on the front. Three HD 120 RGB fans are mounted on the front side. Rest of the fans are ML Pros.

[/IMG]

But somehow, this config was not that much clean. Though I made it to the last and test booted it. We had a perfect lift off, Houston. lol. But it was time to change the config. Some shots of H100i V2 when being prepped

[/IMG]

[/IMG]

[/IMG]

Ignore that foot :p

HD fans are love and dope to speak of.

[/IMG]

Backside cable mess was building as I was adding the components but left that arduous task for the end.

[/IMG]

These Metallic Graphite color sleeves are pure love. Decided to change the config so that now one 120mm rad will be on the rear as exhaust. H100i V2 will be on top as exhaust. One 120mm rad will be on the front as intake [Push/Pull].

[/IMG]

Started working on the backside as well as I was getting impatient. Too bad for that.

[/IMG]

[/IMG]

Too many cables to deal with for this chassis. Phew.

Presenting to you, the Magnum Opus

[/IMG]

[/IMG]

Finished it up with NZXT Hue+, HDD, SSDs and other remaining stuff. Time to test boot it first. Houston, we had a lift off and it went beautiful. :D

[/IMG]

[/IMG]

[/IMG]

Did the finishing touches and it was time to put it on the table and call it a day.

Will post more pics soon. Working on power board extension and other stuff. Also, following Corsair goodies would be coming this month to add more to my RGB fever. Lol

Corsair M65 Pro RGB
Corsair K70 RapidFire RGB
Corsair MM800 Polaris
Corsair MM200 Extended
Corsair VOID USB RGB Headphone.

So stay tune and thanks for watching.

With me this seems to be never ending cycle. This build could have done months earlier if all the components were delivered earlier. But wait was worth it.Yup, more goodies are on their way. :)

Jesus, that looks like a beast. Nice cable management inside. I don't know if you checked before buying but PCPartPicker gives a lot of compatibility alerts if parts might not fit. (For future)
