Hey all,

I'm new here so apologies if this is the wrong place.

Basically, I am looking to upgrade from my HP ProBook 450 G4 (up for sale - details included at the end if anyone's interested - or can anyone tell me how much should it go for?) to a PC.

I know the budget is not that great but I am not a hardcore gamer with a need for an extreme high-end PC.

The games I play are CSGO and Valorant, but I might get FIFA and Warzone too if I can get a set-up that might support them.

Which brings me to my main point, is it possible to build/get a decent setup within this range?
If so, can you kindly guide me as to the exact components (with prices) or a person who might have something pre-built?

Thanks in advance.

P.S: Details of the Laptop that I am looking to sell:

HP ProBook 450 G4
Windows 10 | Core i5, 7th Generation
NVIDIA 930 MX, 2 GB
16GB RAM | 180 GB SSD | 1TB HDD
15.6" HD screen
Original Box and Charger

How much fps do you reckon I can get with that?

Sorry, I mentioned in the title but should have mentioned in the post as well:
Rs.70,000 - 85,000/90,000
sorry I missed that, it was right there in the title.

This is with 3400G, the new 5400G gets even more FPS, if budget allows, go for 5000G series APUs, whichever fits your budget and later on you can add a dedicated GPU when prices come down or budget allows.

Thanks for the reply, bro.
Do you think it'll be good enough to give a decent gaming experience for CSGO/Valorant etc as well?
I guess that might be useful, so you can help me compile the list of component/stuff needed to work around that?
Sorry, I'm just completely new to this PC landscape so don't even know what components go towards making a PC 🙈

There are a lot of similar threads, you will find comprehensive answers in those, like component list, prices and where to buy them, I suggest you go through them, I linked one close to your budget in my earlier reply, will repeat here.

I would recommend an AMD setup, but like I said earlier, it will depend on your requirement. AMD's 3000 or 5000 series CPUs don't have iGPU, but the "G" variants have. You can go for 5700G if you can find one, or go for 5600X and add the cheapest GPU you can find, even a GTX750 will outperform an iGPU, and later add in the 3070 when you can find one at reasonable cost.

5600X with Stock cooler (that comes free with CPU)
or 5700G IF you do not want to add a GPU for now and want to start gaming with an iGPU
B550M (Gigabyte/ASUS/ASROCK) whichever is cheapest for you, they are all similar in performance
16GB 3600MHZ RAM (2 sticks of identical 8GB RAM for dual channel performance, Preferable C16 or lower, but depends on your budget) Timing & Latency are more important than RGB, get timing of 3600Mhz (lower than 3600Mhz lowers CPU performance, higher than 3600Mhz does not add much performance) and a Latency of C16 or lower.
At least 512GB of NVMe SSD (Samsung 970 EVO or similar ~3000Mb/s)
PSU for 3070 would be at least 750 watts or higher, don't buy PSU cheap, it will damage rest of your system, buy at least a 80+ Gold rated. e.g., Corsair RM series or equivalent
For casing, get one with highest AirFlow, in our region our ambient temps are pretty high to start with, so hardware tends to throttle under temps, we need to spend on casing rather than CPU coolers. Go with Mesh front intake casing, no glass restrictive casing. On a lower budget Antec NX Series NX800 and a higher budget CoolerMaster H500P Mesh.

Hope this helps, Best of luck bro.
For CS:GO

For Valorant

so you can help me compile the list of component/stuff needed to work around that?

Sure

CPU: 5600X with stock cooler (if you want to add GPU )
or 5700G (if you want to start with iGPU)

Mobo: B550 motherboard, ASUS/Gigabyte/Asrock have good reliable motherboards, mATX (Micro ATX) are cheaper than ATX, buy the one that is available and cheaper among the above mentioned brands, if you need WiFi then get a motherboard with built-in WiFi.

RAM: 16GB (2x8GB Dual Channel kit), 3600Mhz at CAS Latency ~14 / 16 depending on price. G.Skills Trident Z Neo is a good RAM for Ryzen but buy what is cheapest among above specs, speed and latency is more important than colour or RGB, look for speed 3600Mhz and a CAS Latency of C16 or lower.

SSD: NVMe SSD at least 512GB for your system drive, ~3000Mb/s Read/Write, 970 EVO Plus or 980 equivalent.

PSU: Get at least a 80+ Gold rated power supply, will save you in electricity costs in long term. you should be able to fit in an MSRP RTX3060 in your budget so PSU should be 650 watts or higher, don't skimp on PSU, cheap PSU will damage your hardware, get Corsair RM series or equivalent.

Casing: AirFlow matters a LOT. Get a case with good airflow. At a lower price point
Antec NX800 or higher budget Cooler Master H500M.

GPU: This is where at present I would recommend that you either go iGPU or buy a cheap GPU that can give you display out and some FPS on games, later upgrade to a RTX3060. But if you want to buy 3060 at current prices then you'll have to increase your budget.
