- New, way beefier Xbox
- Code name "Scorpio"
- Targeting 5-6 peak Tflops (Corroborated by Kotaku and Polygon, current Xbox at 1.3 tflops)
- Final specs still in flux
- Targeting fall 2017 release
- Will support all current Xbox One games
- Microsoft to start sticking with an "iterative" console model from now on
- Report says nothing about separate (exclusive) games for the new system

So let's discuss.
- Is this a new console gen? The quoted specs sort of suggest that.
- If it's not a new gen, is it only for playing current Xbox games at 4k?
- Is this Microsoft's move to bring PC and Xbox even closer together by having VR support for both?
- Or will this truly be a new gen, with separate games for Xbox Scorpio while having full backwards compatibility with Xbox One?
What about Sony?
- If the PS4 "Neo" is only for playing current PS4 games at higher visual fidelity, how confusing the market will be when Microsoft comes out with a new console gen next year with completely new games for the system?
- Does the PS4 "Neo" only enjoy a year's worth of relevance in the market then?
- How will developers cope with having multiple different variations of the same brand on the market (iterative consoles) ?
I realize we're comparing rumors against rumors. But a) Lots of media outlets have jumped in on this, so there's definitely something there and b) There's roughly 3 weeks left in E3 so let's hype the fuck out of ourselves why don't we?
E3 needs to get in here TODAY to clear all this confusion up. Can't take it anymore!
