Haha really? I know he was 'thinking' of buying a console... you guys did a good job at hitting the last nail in the coffin...but saldy I think hes going for Xbox 360. (which doesn't make much sense for someone who wouldn't discontinue PC gaming)

On a personal note, I think the discussions were neutral enough. We discussed the plus points and discussed why it's on a downward trend and also speculated that how PC gaming will rise again. Did anyone notice how we conveniently missed out on console exclusives, their names and comparisons with "Stalker"? (lmao)

Thing was to put PC gaming into perspective. I suppose we did that to a degree.

And I bet most of those exclusives would be coming from Sony's side. But Shyber, STALKER is an amazing and VERY underrated title. I thought you liked atmospheric games. Maybe not a platform seller, but I can't name any console exclusive other than LBP, MGS4, Uncharted, GOW3 or maybe Halo (if you're a fanatic). (I didn't mention KZ2 coz its all graphics, gameplay is great but nothing revolutionary in the genre)

But yeah.. all pros and cons were discussed.. which made this podcast really successful.

No actually, you're ignoring stuff like GeOW2, Fable2, Final Fantasies, Ninja Gaidens, Tekken, Ace Combat, Conviction, Alan Wake, some great XBLA/PSN games, etc too easily.

They are not console sellers for me atleast... I wouldn't buy a console solely for any of those games (except Tekken). Im ignoring Xbox titles coz most of them are available on the PC as well. As for GeOW2, well the original Crysis/Warhead won't be re-made for the consoles so they are still exclusives right? But console gamers consider Crysis a lost exclusive just coz a sequel is being developed for em. And Braid is still on the PC, hell, even a Mac.

Point being, based on exclusivity, a PC gamer looking to buy a console would be more pushed to buy a PS3, not X360.

It has a HUGE fan following...just like MGS4. So I understand the craze for it. Its not the first time im mentioning im not a fan of the series. Infact you didn't like my 'Ive never been a fan of FF" post in some thread long ago. I just don't have the patience for most RPGs. (shenmue and Mass Effect are an exception though)

Guys amazing podcast, more about content instead of chit, chat here and there in the last one. Just a small suggestion the podcast should be about 30minutes and i was glad that you guys concentrated on one topic so i expect you to do in next episode aswell IMO. Other that great work guys. Well ... still dont have a console. And even if I do ... the PC will stay first for the exact reasons Ive stated in the podcast ... RTS and FPS. I get a X360 for the full time and timed exclusives ... best of both worlds.

And necro, some exclusives as well as timed exclusives of teh X360 are something I really want to play. Im a petrol head so Forza 3 and PGR4 and Midnight Club LA, Medieval Fantasy RPG freak so I need Fable 2 and Fable 3 as well (im sure il be spending half my X360 game time on these two, much like the 100+ hours on oblivion ive spent) ... and getting the timed exclusives ... ESPECIALLY GTA ...

Id never dump the PC. FPS + RTS are something ive been on since the times of the original Doom and Wolfenstien, Red Alert and Tiberium ... so this PC is staying ... for good. Oh and ... online gaming Oh and PS3 = expaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaansive!
