Recoil increases as well so lower fps players have an advantage too.
Until you find the compensator and vertical foregrip attachments to drastically reduce recoil lol.

This is a coding issue, though. Frame rate should ideally never be tied to game logic. Hopefully a patch fixes it soon.

Today, we are thrilled to announce our collaboration with Guerilla Games, the developer of Horizon Zero Dawn, to create four HZD themed weapon skins and outfits for the PS4 version of PUBG!

“Our collaboration with Horizon Zero Dawn follows in the footsteps of our previous Uncharted and The Last of Us content. To match the two different IPs, PUBG Corporation and Guerilla Games collaborated closely on the concept, design and production elements” says Taehwan Noh of PUBG Corporation. “As fans of Horizon Zero Dawn, the results exceeded our expectations and we can’t wait to see players wearing the items in our game.”

Players can unlock these great new skins through the tasks listed below, which are the only way to acquire these items. These missions open up on March 5th and will need to be completed by April 5th in order to receive your items.

“When we first spoke with the development team of PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS about adding Horizon Zero Dawn themed items, we instantly thought of the Eclipse” – shares Roy Postma, the Art Director of Guerilla Games. “This secretive and militaristic cult fits perfectly in the PUBG universe; its members dress in intimidating ceremonial garb, intended to strike fear into the hearts of all who dare oppose them. Their warlike nature is displayed by their use of ejected bullet casings from ancient war machines, which they work into rosaries and other ornamental motifs, as well as their masks, which they use to hide their identities.”

We also want to wish Guerilla Games a happy two year anniversary of HZD’s launch!

[h=1]PUBG’s original map is getting remastered[/h]
[h=2]Erangel is getting a face lift in the near future[/h]

Erangel has been around since the first days of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, and now it’s getting a redesign. PUBG’s first map will remain unchanged in theme, it will still be an island with forests and fields, but it looks like the building placement and art could be changing sometime soon.
The first hints of the redesign showed up on the PUBG Test Server last week when players started noticing that there were compounds on the Erangel mini-map that hadn’t been there before.

One of the early test server versions of the Erangel changes PUBG Corp. via Reddit user BizzfartsPUBG Corp. remained silent on the issue until Wednesday night when the developer released a brief statement letting fans know that the map was indeed going to get some changes.
The changes are in the very early stages and nothing has been made final yet. The map images that leaked last week are early internal tests, which means that the final version may look different. The post also notes that the development team will be sharing additional information with fans in the coming weeks. When things are ready, the remastered map will be released on the test server for fan feedback.

[h=1]PUBG’s new Aftermath Survivor Pass is bringing vehicle skins to the game[/h]

The season 4 pass brings more than 70 new cosmetic items to the game

The fourth season of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is here, and while the main attraction is the new version of Erangel, it isn’t the only thing that came with this season’s patch. PUBG Corp. also added another Survivor Pass, PUBG’s version of the battle pass, to the game for season 4. It’s called Aftermath.
Just like previous PUBG Survivor Passes, the Aftermath pass is filled with cosmetic items. The pass has around 75 cosmetic items that players can earn by leveling up their passes. To earn levels players will need XP, which can be earned either through playing matches or through completing specific missions like using a certain weapon, or healing yourself a certain number of times.
There’s also a new mission system this season called the Co-op Mission. Progress for this mission will be earned by every single PUBG player who will all be collectively working toward rewards that every player with the Aftermath pass will have access to once unlocked.
The Aftermath pass is also bringing a new type of cosmetic to the game with the new “Red-Zoned” UAZ skin. There are also plenty of new weapon skins, clothing, and jackets that Aftermath adds to the game’s already massive cosmetic collection.
The Aftermath pass is available now on PC. Players can purchase it from the PUBG store for $9.99.

[h=1]Cross play is coming to PUBG on consoles[/h]
PlayStation vs. Xbox starts in September

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is getting cross-platform play on consoles, the game’s developer, PUBG Corp., announced during the Inside Xbox Gamescom presentation on Monday.
There weren’t many details given during the presentation about the new feature, but the developers mentioned at the feature would would pit Xbox One players against PlayStation 4 players. It’s unclear right now if that means that players on the two platforms can create squads together and play in the same group or if the cross play will be limited to competition only.
PC was noticeably absent from the presentation, which likely means that it won’t be included in PUBG Corp.’s cross play plans. In a game like PUBG where aim is critical to success, it’s no surprise that pitting console and PC players against one another wouldn’t be particularly fair. Also absent from the discussion was PUBG Mobile. While a game like Fortnitehas unified versions across all platform’s PUBG’s mobile version is entirely different than consoles or PC, so it’s unlikely that it will be included in the cross-platform play either.
The announcement came alongside the game’s season 4 trailer which showed off some of the updates that are headed to the console version of the game. These include the new season 4 Survivor Pass, and the 100-plus rewards that come with it, as well as the new visual update for the Erangel map.
According to developers, the goal is to have PUBG cross-platform play available for testing on the PUBG Test Servers by late September and available for all players on live servers in early October.

[h=1]PUBG adds waypoints, removes your friends’ excuses for going the wrong way[/h]

Also Vikendi will soon be even better for sniping

We’ve all played a game of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds with the one friend that refuses to stay with the team. Sure, eventually they made it to Pochinki like everybody else, they just took the longest way possible to get there.
Thankfully, in an upcoming patch, PUBG Corp. will add a new waypoint system to the game that even that friend can understand.
The new system will allow players to place specific, detailed movement commands in the map that their allies can see. You can start by selecting a starting point, then you can issue three movement points after that, effectively letting you show your squad exactly where you want them to go.

A waypoint placed on a PUBG map PUBG Corp.As part of the same patch that’s adding waypoints to the game, PUBG Corp. is also bringing update to Vikendi, PUBG’s snow map. Vikendi has always been PUBG’s most sniper rifle-heavy map, but PUBG Corp. is doubling down on that by changing building and terrain layouts to make sniper duels more fun for everyone.
This patch will also add a new feature called PUBG Labs. This is a new kind of lobby where PUBG Corp. will experiment with different rules and gameplay settings. Players will be able to test these new modes and give feedback about what works and what doesn’t.
This new patch, called Update 5.2, is now available on PUBG’s test servers and is set to go live on PC on Nov. 20 and Consoles on Nov. 26.

[h=1]PUBG’s first aircraft, the Motor Glider, begins test flights this weekend[/h]
Take to the skies of Erangel and Miramar in PUBG Labs

Image

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds gets its first player-controlled aircraft, the Motor Glider, which will be available for test flights this weekend in the PUBG Labs server.
The Motor Glider (that’s it above) seats two. While it doesn’t have any armaments, players can still drop throwables (molotovs are most useful) and fire from above, just as they would from any other vehicle. While the engine may be destroyed, it can still glide to a landing with indestructible landing gear. The wings take damage, but at a lesser rate than the body.
The Motor Glider will be spawned randomly around the map, and while it has no service ceiling, it will lose power the higher you go with it. It also has a limited fuel supply.
The Motor Glider test will take place on the Erangel and Miramar maps beginning at 11 p.m. PST today and running until 11 p.m. PST on Sunday. Players on the PC version of PUBG will find the test in a banner on the public match menu of their main screen.

[h=1]PUBG players on Xbox One and PS4 can party up now[/h]

Cross-party play support coming in update 6.2, live on test servers now

Image

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegroundsplayers on PlayStation 4 can now test out cross-party play with friends on Xbox One — that is, they can invite one another into a single party across the platforms.
The feature is part of the forthcoming update 6.2, and is now available on PUBG’s public test server, which is free to anyone who owns a copy of the game. Cross-party support follows cross-platform play (between Xbox One and PS4), which came to the game this fall.
Note that cross-party support is only between the two consoles; obviously, there’s no cross-platform play with PC users because of the aim advantage in keyboard-and-mouse setups. Public test server access can be found in the Microsoft Store for Xbox One. PS4 players can find it in the “Purchased” section of their console’s games library.
Update 6.2 will also bring the 8v8 Team Deathmatch to the Karakin map, which is is designed to be a faster, arcade-style game type. Team Deathmatch involves unlimited respawns, no knockdowns, and turns off friendly fire. Rounds are limited to 10 minutes or 50 kills, making them about half as long as an ordinary PUBG match.
The update will bring back another installment of the Skill-Based Rating test; PUBG Corp. says that one has been tweaked based on feedback from the first test. And the update will also rebalance and adjust throwables, particularly fragment grenades, whose overall strength will be reduced. These changes and more were announced last week and added to the PC version of the game on Wednesday.

[h=1]PUBG’s latest patch will add a bazooka to Karakin[/h]

Patch 6.3 also brings some buffs to the game’s weakest guns

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is getting its biggest weapon ever. In the game’s upcoming patch 6.3, PUBG Corp. will add the Panzerfaust bazooka to Karakin, the game’s smallest map. Along with the Panzerfaust, the new patch will also include a few much-needed balance changes that should help out some of the game’s weakest guns.
The Panzerfaust probably works the way you think it would: It’s big and unwieldy and when it’s fired it blows up everything in the area. These weapons are one-time use only, but they can destroy certain walls throughout Karakin, just like C4. Just to make the weapon a little bit scarier, it also discharges a small explosion out of the back of the gun, meaning that any teammates behind it are in for an unfortunate surprise. For now the Panzerfaust will only be available on Karakin.
As for PUBG’s other weapons, this patch will take specific aim at the UMP-45, the M249, and the Tommy Gun. The UMP-45 is just getting a much-needed damage boost, as well as an increased rate of fire. The M249, which was previously only available in Care Packages, is now available as standard loot all around Erangel and Miramar, though it isn’t quite as damaging as it used to be. Finally, PUBG Corp. has given the Tommy Gun the ability to accept red dot and holographic sights, which should make the gun a whole lot easier to shoot.
Patch 6.3 is available on the PUBG Test Server now, and will be released on live servers as soon as PUBG Corp. feels the patch is ready. For a full look at everything that’s changing in patch 6.3 you can find the Test Server patch notes below.

[h=2]PANZERFAUST[/h]Karakin exclusive

 • Uncommon world spawn found across the map
 • Guaranteed to be in every airdrop
The Panzerfaust warhead explodes upon impact, but can also be blown up mid air

 • The damage radius is 6m from the point of impact
 • The explosion can deal splash damage through thin walls and objects, up to a short distance
 • Can be used to breach specific walls on Karakin, much like the Sticky Bomb
 • The warhead will explode mid air, before impact if damaged by explosions or shot by a bullet
One time use

 • Once the warhead is fired, the Panzerfaust tube will be discarded and cannot be picked back up
Firing the warhead produces a backblast, so be careful!

 • The backblast damages those within a 3m zone behind the weapon
 • Be careful you don’t have any teammates, or a wall too close behind you. You’ve been warned
Zeroing options at 60, 100 (default) and 150 meters
[h=2]WEAPON BALANCE CHANGES[/h]Tommy Gun

 • Added upper rail to attach Red Dot and Holo Sights
 • Increased rate of fire from 700 to 750
 • Increased firing accuracy
We’ve reduced the bullet deviation penalty when firing for an extended duration
 • Increased moving accuracy
 • Decreased recoil when firing for an extended duration
This is due to the increased rate of fire
M249

 • Added Stock attachment slot
A Tactical Stock can be equipped to improve weapon stability
 • Added Magazine attachment slot
Reduced standard ammo capacity to 75
Now holds 150 with an extended mag
 • Decreased base bullet damage from 45 to 40
 • Increased recoil
 • Found on Miramar and Erangel
 • Semi-rare spawn
UMP-45

 • Increased base bullet damage from 39 to 41
 • Increased rate of fire from 650 to 670
 • Increased muzzle velocity from 300 to 360
This means an increase to the speed at which bullets leave the barrel, making it a bit easier to track moving targets
[h=2]QUALITY OF LIFE IMPROVEMENTS[/h]
 • Improved visibility of nearby items on the ground by enhancing the glowing effect and adding a new pulse effect
The new pulse effect can be disabled and is listed as “Item Flashing Effect” under Gameplay settings
 • Added an electric static sound to the Blue Zone wall providing players with an audible queue when the Blue Zone is near
 • [Team Deathmatch] Added Rich Presence to let your Discord and Steam friends know when you’re fragging in TDM
 • [Team Deathmatch] Invincibility will now be removed instantly when engaging in combat (firing a weapon, throwing grenade etc.)
 • [Team Deathmatch] Hotkey for player reports is disabled for 1 second after death to prevent accidental activation
[h=2]BUG FIXES[/h]Fixed the Following issues:

A pop-up message will be displayed to users purchasing Premium Pass, alerting them of the time left until pass end
 • Premium Pass and Level-up items can be purchased until the Pass period ends
[h=2]CUSTOM MATCH[/h]
 • Karakin is now available in Custom Matches
 • Updated Esports Mode preset
The previous 2019 preset has been replaced by the 2020 Global Esports Ruleset
Blue Zone settings are identical to 2019. However, item spawn rates have been changed in accordance to each map’s ruleset.
This preset uses the S.U.P.E.R ruleset (Official Esports Ruleset)
 • Inner Blue Zone option has been added
This allows you to create new custom game experiences similar to the Bluehole mode we recently tested in LABS
 • Organized custom match presets and added some new ones.
‘The First Weapon for Your Chicken Dinner’ preset has been added
Drop in with a random weapon set and fight your way to victory, no weapons spawn in the world, although you can pick up the weapons from player death boxes

[h=1]PUBG’s season 7 trailer shows off updated version of Vikendi, new trains[/h]

Don’t stand on the tracks

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is back for its seventh season, and this time around there’s an updated version of Vikendi for players to explore. This patch has been on the test server for the past week, but PUBG Corp. has released a trailer that gives players a preview of the island’s new upgrades now that it’s live for everyone.
The PUBG season 7 gameplay trailer starts out in Vikendi’s new amusement park, Dinoland, where one team ambushes another to start a firefight. The new park is full of colorful buildings for players to fight through, and plenty of life-sized dinosaur sculptures, which replace the old, broken down theme park rides from the original version of the map.

After the brief fight in the park, the trailer moves on to the centerpiece of the new Vikendi: the trains. Season 7’s Vikendi has two trains that constantly run across the island. In the trailer, players use the trains for quick escapes and, of course, massive shootouts. While some players fight on the train, another team drives alongside side it, firing at both teams, which should give you some idea of the new kinds of chaos that are possible.
Along with all these new Vikendi locations, the PUBG season 7 trailer also gives us a glimpse at the game’s new weapon, the Mosin-Nagant, a bolt-action sniper rifle. You can see it on the backs of several players, and also used by the sniper in the shipping yard during the trailer. While the Mosin-Nagant is technically a new weapon, it behaves almost identically toPUBG’s Kar98K, which has been in the game since it launched.
PUBG’s season 7 patch, along with the new version of Vikendi, is out on PC now. The patch is scheduled to arrive on consoles on April 28.

[h=1]PUBG Is Adding Bots So New Players Won't Get Scared Off[/h]

PlayerUnknown's BATTLEGROUNDS is implementing AI bots in order for new players to be able to practice before taking on higher-skilled opponents.

It looks like AI-controlled bots are finally coming to PlayerUnknown's BATTLEGROUNDS, according to a developer blog post. PUBG recently launched their seventh season, reintroducing players to the snow map of Vikendi (which now has a working train transit system and a redesigned dinosaur theme park) as well as giving them a semi-new weapon in the form of a Mosin-Nagant sniper rifle.
PUBG's developers are no stranger to making changes to their core gameplay systems if they think it will help improve the player experience, and the company isn't afraid to double-back on these decisions if it looks like things aren't going the way they planned. Recently, PUBG's fancy new blood effects had to be removed from the game to stop crashing issues, and while players are still waiting on new anti-cheat measures they have been enjoying the game's new rocket launchers and team deathmatch mode, both of which were only introduced to the game in the past few months.

Now, according a a message from the developers posted to the official PUBG website, it looks like even more changes are coming to the game, this time in the form of AI bot players. Because, as the developer states, "we're seeing more often that many newer players are being eliminated early with no kills - and oftentimes with no damage dealt" they have decided to add in bot opponents in order for these newer players "to hone their skills and be able to fully enjoy what PUB has to offer." The appearance of bots appears to be based on a PUBG player's matchmaking rating, with players who have a high MMR encountering less computer opponents than other, lower-ranked players.

The company seems to understand that AI opponents will always act and behave differently than their human counterparts, and they know that "bots can have both positive or negative effects on a game" depending on how well the AI is implemented. The company says they spent a long time making sure that the bots had proper navigation coding so that they didn't do things like "throwing themselves off of a cliff or something else that, while hilarious, doesn't line up with its intended functions." They also took special care to ensure that these new bots in PUBGwould still do things like real players, such as loot dead enemies and fire at opponents from great distances.
While the addition of bots may be something which new players appreciate, it will likely prove to be divisive among long-time PUBG players. One of the most satisfying things about battle royale combat is knowing that there are a hundred or more other people all having the same experience, and getting off a clean kill may feel a little less impressive now that it could have just been an AI bot, and not an actual human opponent who the player outsmarted. However, if it helps to get more players invested in the core gameplay loop of PlayerUnknown's BATTLEGROUNDS, then it is likely a worthy trade-off.

[h=1]PUBG’s latest patch adds C4 and makes vehicles a little safer[/h]

The patch even brings some improvements to the updated Vikendi

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has a brand new weapon, and it’s sure to cause a bang. The game’s latest patch adds C4 to the game, but also makes vehicles a little safer, along with a few improvements to the new version of Vikendi.
PUBG’s new C4 is a throwable weapon that explodes after 16 seconds. Unlike C4 in other games, PUBG’s can’t be activated early, so you’re making a rather large bet every time you throw it. C4 even lets players get a little tricky since it can stick to almost any surface — including vehicles — so you can set 16-second traps that other players may not expect.
Speaking of vehicles, they now take damage differently. You can now do more, or less, damage depending on where you shoot most of PUBG’s land vehicles. For instance, if you shoot a car or jeep near its engine, you’ll do 100% of bullet damage, destroying the car quickly. But if all your shots hit the roof of the car you’ll only do 50% damage, so taking it out will require many more bullets.
Cars also no longer explode the instant they hit zero health. Instead, the engine will shut off and catch fire at zero health, then explode a couple of seconds later, giving players just enough time to get to a safe distance if they’re quick. The one exception to this rule is if the car is destroyed by an explosion from something like the red zone, or even the game’s new C4.
Finally, patch 7.3 is bringing a few updates to Vikendi itself. The map now has another train line, which will take players through the interior of the island, in addition to the original train line that ran along the outside of the map. The patch also increased the number of DRMs that spawn on Vikendi, and added a few more pieces of natural cover in areas that were a little too open.
PUBG patch 7.3 is available now on PC and is scheduled to be released for consoles on June 23. You can find the full patch notes below.

[h=2]PUBG PATCH 7.3 NOTES[/h][h=2]GAMEPLAY[/h][h=2]VEHICLE BALANCE[/h]Explosion mechanic changes

 • Vehicles no longer explode instantly upon reaching 0 HP. Instead, engines are now disabled and set on fire, causing the vehicle to explode after 5 seconds
 • Vehicles can still explode instantly if taking large radial damage, like from Red Zones, C4 etc.
 • Exploding vehicles now receive both linear and angular velocity, instead of only linear (vehicle movement after exploding should look a bit less static now)
 • Additionally, vehicles will no longer receive increased collision damage when they’re rolled over
Vehicle damage changes
Most vehicles now have multiple damage zones which apply different damage multipliers

 • Applies to the following vehicles: Buggy, Dacia, UAZ, Mirado, Pickup, Rony and Zima
 • All other vehicles receive damage as before, equally regardless of area hit
 • Damage zones:
Engine – 100% Damage — Engine area, usually located at the front
Body – 75% Damage — Front and rear doors, rear and bottom sides of body
Roof – 50% Damage — Roof panel, roof pillars, seats, mirrors
Boat Armor Upgrade — Boats are now granted 5 static damage reduction
[h=2]NEW THROWABLE: C4[/h]
 • C4 will start beeping and automatically detonate 16 seconds after being thrown
Detonation cannot be stopped or activated early
There is a warning LED on the C4 and audible beeping with increasing intensity, clearly audible inside the damage radius which warns you of the upcoming explosion
 • C4 sticks to most surfaces, including vehicles
It doesn’t stick to players
 • Effective damage radius is 25 metres, with a lethal damage radius of 15 meters
Damage extends vertically, but with slightly less range (lethal radius of 12.5 meters vertically)
The shockwave emitted from the explosion is so powerful it damages all enemies within its radius, even if they’re behind cover
 • Due to the weight of the C4 you can’t throw it far and you can’t carry many
 • Found as world loot on Erangel, Miramar, Vikendi and Sanhok
C4 will be added to Training Mode at a later date
Spike Traps

 • Spike Trap length increased by 50%
[h=2]PARACHUTE FOLLOW FEATURE[/h]
 • During the pre-match countdown, follow UI will be shown at the bottom left of the screen.
 • Open the map to select a teammate to follow.
 • You can still select a teammate to follow up until exiting the plane.
 • After selecting a teammate to follow, you can cancel on the map screen, or also by holding F while in the plane, or while actively following a player in your parachute.
 • If you’re obstructed by terrain or an object, your follow will be cancelled.
 • A new icon has been added to better highlight the “Disable Follow” option

 • The current Ranked season will end with maintenance on July 22nd, with a new season commencing immediately after completion of maintenance
A timer will appear on the Ranked lobby screen one week prior to season end, so you can quickly see how much time is left
 • Ranked Rewards
Ranked Season 7 rewards will be given out the first time a player logs in to the game after Season 8 is live
Ranked Season 7 rewards are determined by the highest Rank Tier a player is holding at the end of Season 7 in either queue
Players who are on the Top 500 Leaderboards at the end of the season will receive bonus rewards
 • To clarify some confusion due to some ruleset info not being included in Update 7.2 patch notes, we’d like to let you know that the M249, DBS and Spike Trap intentionally do not spawn in Ranked Mode.
Map selection ratio adjustment
Sanhok Ratio Decreased

 • Decreased frequency in which you’ll get Sanhok in Ranked Mode
We have been having discussions internally and looking at player feedback in regards to the Ranked Mode experience of Sanhok. The experience it offers is generally quite different to the larger maps and we have even considered removing it from Ranked Mode entirely. Although, there are of course many players who do enjoy Sanhok in Ranked, so for now we’ve decided to just slightly reduce the frequency in which you’ll get Sanhok matches in ranked.
 • Please keep the feedback coming on this.
