PG Xtremist - for members with good activity and consistently increasing number of post per specific period. Honestly, it never gave me any strange feeling neither heard from anyone.
Since we are on community based forum, it's quite easy to identify the significance of this rank. We shouldn't distract ourselves into odds. However, every person has his own way of perceiving things. So no harm in replacing it with something different yet acceptable to all.

NaNoW, Soka, I beg to differ. PG Xtremist is not used in a pejorative sense, or is not analogous to the word extremism, which, of late, has taken a very negative meaning.

It's used in the sense that a PG Xtremist is a person who BREATHES PG, who is everywhere to be found, who is very active and therefore, is an 'extreme' member.

In ten or so years, this is the first time I've heard something of this sort. Nonetheless, all opinions are welcome and that is the reason we have this section on the forums. If you have an alternate name in mind, please let us know so that we can discuss further the possibilities of changing things, if the need be.

Wasn't saying anything for fear or some people taking it the wrong way but I agree fully. First time I'm hearing of anyone not being okay with the Xtreme user title.

It never has had a negative connotation in my time being here. We don't have to take a word literally without context.

then the word extreme is better rather then extremist . This is the oxford dictionary meaning of the word extremist .

 • a person who holds extreme political or religious views, especially one who advocates illegal, violent, or other extreme action.

This is a gaming forum, not an English Language class. But, while we are at it, the dictionary also defines it as:

"Extremist - a supporter or advocate of extreme doctrines or practices."

An Extremist here, like I mentioned earlier, is a person who's madly in love with PG, being crazy active and, well, basically, more than just a member.

P.S. The userclass IS PG Xtreme. A member of the group would therefore be a PG Xtremist.

P.P.S. Where we're discussing English to the root meanings, "fanatic" is a word that shouldn't be used at all, either, by gamers. But guess what, we, gamers, hardly ever truly use a 'strong' word in its literal form. Everything has context and its very important to see it.

I hope this makes sense!

1. Knowledge, logic and sense shall matter the most, not the senioirty or so called experience.
2. Extremism should be discouraged in all its forms, anywhere and everywhere.

We are living in a world today, where tiny things are becoming offensive to people, things which were once just words, and nothing more. This particular question is pretty much like that.

It should come as a surprise, but i kinda agree with Soka here. Valid point.

However, whether you change it to "Xtreme" or "Fanatic" or whatever you want, the true meaning will not change. Only the perception of the meaning will change. Some will be satisfied. Most will not even care.

If it's a particularly easy task. Sure you can change the "Xtremist" to "Xtreme" which sounds must better and cooler.

I've been here since the very start of the forums and not once has this thought crossed my mind. This is something I associate with the forum itself and would not liked it changed. In the modern times, we've been lead to believe that the word extremist could only mean a terrorist but in reality it means a person who's devoted to a particular thing.
