MULTI PC or PS4?

I don't know which one to buy.. of course it come's down to what person wants to play n all but the games I want to play are not any of the console exclusives.. im more into arkham origins, GTA V, watch dogs, crysis 3, AC black flag. and I do have a pc with a pc but I sold my graphic cards [460 hawks] a while back when I was planing to not be playing games for a while.. but I think i'll start playing within the next 5 or 6 months.

my PC specs
Asus motherboard [sli/crossfire]
4 gigs of ram running at 2000mhz
i5-750 oc'ed to 4.4ghz with a coolermaster v6gt
1000W antec psu

so I got almost everything.. and although the cpu is not latest but its a quad core oc'ed nicely and considering the kind of games I like are alot more GPU dependent than cpu so im thinking there won't be a bottleneck issue.. now the only problem remains is that I could either get a GTX780 and a bit more ram for some really good 1080p ultra setting, future proof gaming or I could get a ps4.. the price comes to roughly the same..

im confused which choice would be better? I personally like the sharper crisper gameplay of a PC compared to a console, but the ps4 is no joke either.

There will come a time when you'll HAVE to upgrade your PC to play the latest games, whereas the PS4 is a one time investment + exclusives. PS4 all the way ._.

as I said I already got the pc.. and its intel. all i'd be buying would be a graphics card.. which i'd prefer to be nvidia for i've heard they've got less issues with drivers and i might wanna go for 3d later with an sli configuration.
and I don't have game availability problems, I live in London.

That's the problem, you probably won't be able to. Sony will probably do well to protect the PS4 from jailbreaking. Also, it takes a LONG time to jailbreak and I don't think they'll succeed that much. Security is no joke.
Therefore you can't torrent the games.

I agree with [MENTION=40825]RAJNI[/MENTION].It's Future is AMD bcuz there will be optimised games on AMD platform thanks to PS4 snd Xbox One.But i suggest you to get Ps4 later.Get a nice pc with An Apu or An fx series Cpu.And AMD 280X it will be a killer Pc.For atleast 3-4 Years.Getting Ps4 later cuz there will be huge exclusive games out there by then.Once you play any exclusive on Ps3 you will change your mind.

Its purely a matter of convenience and preference.
Though I have owned xbox and PS3 but I would prefer a PC over consoles everyday. However, what I could gather from your post is you are keeping the latest trend and long term investment in view as well. PS4 would obviously be a sound investment in terms of sustaining the price. On the contrary, the latest race to dominate the market will heavily impact the graphic card prices. Be it the latest one, after a couple of month there will be better around.

The reason is that intel have higher per core performance.But if all cores of AMD is used than it beats intel cpu's.Upcoming games will use more cores so it's better to have AMD BTW!.Or buy $1000 intel core i7 4960x 6 cores

You've pretty much answered your own question. If you aren't interested in any of the console exclusives, then the obvious choice is a decent spec-ed PC.

The CPU/mobo are fine for now, since you've OC'ed the CPU. In future, games will be optimized for 8 CPU threads, however. But I don't think you need to worry about that for now.

As for the GPU, ideally, you should get one that comes with 3 or more gigs of VRAM. The GTX 780 is a good choice at the moment, but you may also want to consider waiting for AMD's forthcoming Radeon R9 290X.

How is it that 3ghz of AMD is lower in performance than 3ghz of intel? even with the same number of cores and cache memory.. how can that be possible??

And then how is it [if that's the case] that for example my i5-750 at 4.4ghz would be slow than a 'newer' generation i5 with the same number of cores [4] and less cache than my i5-750..

this has me confused.

The gaming performance different between sandy and haswell is less than 5%, maybe even lesser if reviews are to be believed. Your cpu and board are just fine, at the current clock speeds, they will not bottleneck your system performance. I'd say you still have 2 more years worth of usage out of it. I recently upgraded to gtx 760 myself, and after clocking it to 4G gives you a modest boost.

If you don't care about the exclusives, then stick with your current PC a while longer, then build a new one when the time is right.
