The entire point of making this a cruel exercise is that everyone reads this clearly and not do anything stupid or against the regulations.

However, the interesting this is that people even tend to miss out this huge warning and the personalized warnings I've handed out have been after something serious has happened.


If you have any issues, talk to the Admin, don't wait for a thread like this to come around so you can join the bandwagon and whine about something that happened ages ago or a grudge that you're holding, hoping for some sort of retribution.


All the talk in this thread that about a "[no name]" mod that did something and you can't mention name? Well you expect some ramifications now? not happening.

For everyone who has pointed out my errors in judgement and criticized my moderation, well where were you when you observed something? Why didn't you say it then? REPORT posts if/when you see something that you don't like.

There are public examples of people confronting me over my actions and that IS the right way to do it. Then and there, don't come to a thread like this weeks/months later with some grudge.

Secondly, most of the warnings and deletions by me have been over posts that were reported by some of you. Some I had to let go, others did indeed required deletion or amending.


All the "silent observers", please speak up when the time is right, don't wait for the next "bash the mods" thread to show up with your pile of complains.

and All the HUGE RED/WHITE warnings I put out? That too have been there because someone violated the policy, regulation and general forum demeanor big time!

The OP did not mention any names, events or present any facts, he just blurted out and ran with it.

And oh by the way, OP only mentioned one problem he had in the PS3 section which is NOT part of Chit Chat Cafe.

Everyone else joined in with their own sob stories, most of them still ambiguous.

Some had interesting, facts, happenings and personal experiences to share <-- The only true contribution to this thread.

The rest have been just Oh lets just bash the mods while we can. When I give out warnings, I make it a point to make them linear, clear and simple.

IF there is a confusion, send me a PM or reply right there and people tend to do that and I explain WHY the warning was put there in the first place.

I need to lighten up on what? letting all the abusive language, excessively vulgar and disturbing posts go by? ignore them?

I understand I did take some liberties with the Academic threads and that too after putting several warnings about NOT crapping those threads. Posts were deleted with explanations that A warning is there, please don't post any personal opinion and most of them replied with " this is the chit chat forum, i can say whatever i want" and fine, say whatever you want, but when a thread has some special warnings, please comply. and its not like every thread is heavily moderated, ONLY the academic threads. Its for help ONLY.

About time I pointed this out.. A lot of people who don't even have any issues in the Chit Chat Cafe are coming here with their arguments and experiences that happened in some other section. As much as a mod I represent PakGamers, I am simply NOT accountable for anything that happens in any other section. Take your concerns to that particular section Mod/Admin.

i have been on Pg for quite a while, and yes i agree with the OP that things are getting a bit too strict here, especially the strict moderation of the chatroom by bastwave, but i dont know i guess its for the greater good. There are tonnes of forums out there, u dont like this one then go to some other one, at the end of the day its only the internet man, chill out, relax and enjoy your life

A Large number of new mods would mean a small inconsistency for a small period of time. Now I think everything is settled. Nothing is bad in moderation at the moment.

If you feel something is bad, then please name them.

Regarding that SV was banned and came a mod the moderation was planned beforehand. Besides 10+ people were involved in that thread so why not me? I learned the lessons and don't get involved in such discussion now.

and no one really cared about the SV getting banned and becoming the mod and we all know we can't help it and getting butt hurt over it wont help
