This is why the "preset" slider is not useful in this game for consistency in comparisons. Each setting should be configured manually, even if you want all of them at Low or Medium etc.

RDR 2 has a number of quick presets, allowing you to easily configure your system using a slider. The quality presets offer a number of settings, with half a dozen ‘Performance’ modes, seven ‘Balanced’ profiles, and seven ‘Quality’ presets. That all sounds great, but problem is these settings don’t apply a static configuration. Rather each of the preset's 30+ options are dynamically configured depending on the graphics card used. For example, the mid balanced preset might use mostly ultra settings with an RTX 2080 Ti, but only medium with an RTX 2070 Super... it was all over the place.

1% Low being 1080p 34fps on the lowest benched GPU i.e. GTX 1060 on High is a good outcome. I doubt all the 30+ settings on consoles are High. Rockstar needs to fix launcher and CPU specific bugs, but optimization looks decent to me.

Currently playing Disco Elysium. Not a very popular game. Infact it was OUT of many people's radar because its only on PC but since its headed to consoles next year its now IN.

Red Dead 2 can wait.

lol @ vast. Based on the data in the screenshot (which could easily be wrong, given who conducted the analysis), I could just as well say that a majority of settings are Medium or above.

Well you were compalining about 4K performance with 4xMSAA but didn't think about that being wrong

In that case might as well add that the PC version of RDR 2 can be alt+tabbed to access Windows, while the console version cannot

A new patch adds the option to adjust "Tree tessellation". As for its console equivalent, that's another one for the Disabled features section lol
