Based on what I have seen and read so far, I am not going to buy this when it comes out.
Will first make sure by checking the actual reviews of the final released product and will wait for them to release it on Steam. Otherwise PASS! (sm1)

If they were releasing it on steam, I would have bought it with all that bashing and bugs and tested it myself, and refunded it if it was really that bad. But No Steam = No Refund. (sm1)

I hope this isnt the wide spread critical opinion otherwise it would be sad to see a game with such a huge following getting a below par treatment from Bethesda. I have only played Fallout 4 and while it wasnt anything extra ordinary, it still was a decent game that made me look forward to the next iteration.

I don't know what's the surprise here except that Bethesda could have done better. What we have here is effectively a Fallout 4 multiplayer component that is being sold separately as a full game to rip off gamers. It would have been received better as a Fallout 4 component because today the game engine looks way more dated and broken. Bethesda is not alone in thinking that they could use their laziness to make easy money but their half-baked product seems to have turned the tables a bit. Right from the game's announcement, it was clear that this is a multiplayer spin-off (and so I was not the least interested nor expected anything great) but I did expect that it will be treated as an add-on with a small price (was totally surprised to see the $60 tag). I have a lot of issues with R* but their games have a lot of value. GTA V and now RDR2 will not only give you amazing SP but also MP with shit loads of stuff to do, and they continue to follow up with the game in terms of support and updates. This is what people love to buy in $60 and I'm glad we have such examples because otherwise Bethesda's crap and developers like them would have become a standard.

I am playing the game casually and enjoying it so far . But this is my first fallout game so my expectations were not really high .maybe that’s why I am enjoying playing it

Bad timing. I see the game for $4 most in almost every sale for PS+ users ($5-6 in general). Still, the experience is worth it imo.
