MANCHESTER, England -- Manchester United are closing in on Porto's Portugal Under-21 defender Diogo Dalot, sources have told ESPN FC.
Jose Mourinho is hopeful of concluding a deal for the full-back, who has started just five senior games for his club.
Sources have told ESPN FC United scouts watched the 19-year-old in Porto's 0-0 draw with Liverpool at Anfield in the Champions League in March.
He impressed enough for United to consider activating the teenager's €20 million buy-out clause.
Dalot, who has already turned down an approach from Valencia, can play at right-back and left-back and would offer cover for Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young on both sides of Mourinho's defence.

Reddit seems to think he's pretty decent. Porto are mad though as he was supposed to be some player's replacement but even he's going.
In another news, Liverpool pretty much came out nowhere and announced Fabinho lol. Like the rumor broke and 2 hours later we officially announced. I hope we sign Fekir quickly as well.

Seriously ...man Fabinho is a pretty decent player...also Fekir is sick

both of them should definitely add depth and quality to the squad

Still LFC need a WC GK like Jan Oblak or Alisson etc and another good CB, and Emre Can will probably leave them for free this summer.
and Fekir move will only be decided after World cup according to Lyon president!

Meanwhile Arsenal are closing in Sokratis Papastathopoulos for about 18M and veteran Swiss RB Stephen Liechtensteiner for free, and perhaps the Turkish CB from Bundesliga :D

Injuries and depth really screwed us up. The reason Firmino was incognito was he was dropping deep to help with the ball, Lallana was useless on the wing, didn't have the pace. He's great in midfield but he's useless on the wings. Still Mane came up big. I think the game would be a lot different had Karius not made the mistakes. It hurts so much, this loss hurt more than 13/14 season man. But in the end the better team won and fairplay to Real. Amazing achievement.

In another news, Liverpool had the quickest transfer saga. Fabinho was linked by jouno's and announced just 1 hour later no drama what so ever lol. I haven't seen much of him but heard he's an absolute unit. I'm confident Liverpool can mount a title challenge next season. Our midfield and attack is looking crazy good. Fekir is also rumored to be coming.
Losing salah was the main turning point in my opinion, liverpool were all over real but as soon as he went off it was all real madrid apart from the goal liverpool scored and when mane hit the post i didn't see them trouble real. On the other hand real could have scored 2-3 more, isco's chance, ronaldo's chance blocked buy robertson similar to the one from bale which was intercepted by van dijk if i remember correctly. Karius's mistakes ruined the game though.
Liverpool's transfer business so far has been extremely good, fabinho and keita will completely change the midfield and if fekir arrives they will be title contenders. I still think they need another striker just to add depth to the squad, if firmino gets injured i don't think solanke is good enough to get the job done.

Although we played admirably after Salah got injured, it had a lasting affect. But I was really proud of Liverpool's performance, they dug deep and performed so much better.
Like there hasn't been a single dud in Klopp's era so far and he's improving the team each year with quality additions. I think part of the reasoning to bring in Fekir is to sub for Firmino in the false nine role as he can play there. That coupled with Fabinho and Keita and our midfield looks amazing. As much as people want to say it, Liverpool's defense has been amazing. Lovren has improved hugely, there is an odd mistake in him but even that has reduced. VVD's impact has been quite phenomenal. I genuinely think we can challenge for the title the coming season. Given how good Klopp's rotation worked last season and now that we have more options, I'd give us a shout.

Liverpool need another goalkeeper but neither oblak nor alisson will come cheap. Those are the ones rumored to be the targets, also why not have a look at butland. Stoke got relegated he might come relatively cheap and is a decent goalkeeper.

On the other side zidane left Real Madrid, weird decision because i don't think the board forced him to quit. They would obviously wanted him to stay after such success but may be he wanted to leave on a high note rather then getting sacked sometime in the future. Rumors are that he is interested in managing the french national team.

Nope stoke have put a 30M price tag on Jack Butland so he wont come cheap! Also remember that Everton had to pay Sunderland 30M to secure services of Jordan Pickford, even though they got relegated from EPL last season.

& Zidane made the right decision i guess, as there were rumors that he might have been faced Sacked, had he not won CL final against LFC. Due to dismal performances in Copa del Rey and La liga this season! now Guti might take over from him.

Meanwhile Man Utd legend Wayne Rooney closes in on DC United move!

and Maurizio Sarri's regular brushes with Italy’s football authorities look likely to cost him the chance of becoming Chelsea’s next manager, as CFC refuse to pay his 8M release clause!

If you look at it 30 m is not a lot in the current crazy market. Oblak and alisson would cost more than double that amount. Anyways i heard Chelsea are interested in butlan now since courtuois isn't interested in renewing his contact and will be sold.

The Chelsea's managerial situation has gone from bad to worse, sarri rejected zenit and tried to get himself sacked from napoli so that he could join Chelsea but the club isn't willing to pay his release clause, i think it's about the money and not the other things aaaand conte is still the manager

Manchester City winger Leroy Sane has been omitted from Germany's final 23-man World Cup squad.

Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has agreed a four-year deal with Juventus and will have a medical later this week, according to Sky in Italy.

With the situation surrounding Roman Abramovich Chelsea's future looks quite uncertain. I mean I'm having a hard time understanding why they won't pay Sarri's release clause. Like you lot bought Drinkwater for 30 million lol. Pay the clause and get it over with.

That being said, if Chelsea board gets their shit together and backs Conte properly I've no doubt he'd bring even more success to you.

I'd like conte to stay but i don't think he has a good relationship with the board, that's the reason everyone is thinking of a new manager. I'd like to have sarri, laurent blanc has been out of management for the past 2 years and i don't think he is any better than the rest of them. While all the other clubs are buying players we don't even know who our manager will be for the next season :(

Nobody's talking about it but Arsenal have done some super business bringing Leno in. Last season wasn't great but overall he's a great keeper with potential to be great.
On that, I want Liverpool to stick with Karius, CL final aside he was solid and I know he can improve further if he comes back from that. He had a concussion which attributed to it but I hope we give him another chance. His performances for Mainz were crazy good and we were beginning to see that Karius for Liverpool this season. Alisson for 60-70m is too much IMO

Are you sure about that? Everyone i've talked to who follow the bundesliga says he is highly overrated.

I myself don't watch that league so don't know much about him.
Its been mixed really. I know last season wasn't great from him but he seems to be highly rated at-least. I know the Liverpool subreddit was wanking over him a year or two ago when we were linked to a new GK. Regardless, I think he'll do good in the PL with Arsenal.
