How far are you into the game ?
Oh I finished it almost a week ago. Was playing around with a few hordes here and there and clearing out the remaining Nero checkpoints. PSA, once you are done with the story, keep playing it for a while and there would be a random radio in from O Brian giving somewhat a closure to the Nero story arc.

It is a deecent game .not as bad as reviews suggest it .i guess Sony forgot to fill mouths of these reviewers these time . I mostly follow reviews of unbiased gamers like us then follow the reviews of these big company websites .they are mostly not accurate .

Finished. Got Platinum and the secret ending. The game certainly has a premise for Days Gone 2 if they ever decide to make one.

I think this is the prime example of a game which gets better the more you play it. The first 10~ or so hours feel very rote and derivative, with little character development. The game certainly does *not* put it's strongest foot forward. The opening camps and areas are probably some of the most forgettable one's. But once you start heading to the third camp onward, the game becomes a joy to play. Much better characters, stakes, quest-lines etc.

Secret Ending spoiler:
Spoiler: show
Holy shit .. that O'Brian twist .. I did *not* see that coming. For the duration of the game I thought the developers were just being lazy and didn't want to draw his 5-year-later face and have it emote considering the large amount of screen time he gets.

[h=1]Days Gone’s new mode is basically Crazy Taxi[/h]

Drop off survivors, who would probably love some Pizza Hut right now

Bend Studio’s zombie game Days Gone has a new update that adds a Crazy Taxi-like arcade mode to the PlayStation 4 exclusive. That mode, called Dead Don’t Ride (which was Days Gone’s rumored working title), puts players into a golf cart and forces them to pick up passengers and drop them off at their destination while racing against the clock.
Dead Don’t Ride is missing many of the things that make Crazy Taxi great; it’s slower, you don’t have a bustling city to drive through, and there are no Pizza Huts, Tower Records, or KFCs to visit. And the zombies — err, Freakers — don’t jump out of the way at the last second. In fact, running over Swarmers is one of the goals in Days Gone’s Dead Don’t Ride. But clearly Bend was going for that Crazy Taxi spirit in a game not built for arcade-style mechanics.
Dead Don’t Ride also doesn’t sport a soundtrack dripping with The Offspring and Bad Religion, but it does have an exclusive set of music tracks for the mode.
Days Gone’s Dead Don’t Ride bike challenge is live in the PS4 game now.

Despite the bashing and bad reviews I was really surprised how good the game turned out to be. Just started playing it and in the first hour or so I am really impressed how smooth everything is. It has TLOU and Uncharted vibe to it which is a good thing. Controls are smooth and the game overall in general feels polished. Detailed dynamic environments are really pleasing to watch. I still have yet to encounter any bugs in the game.

I think i'll have a good time playing it before preparing myself for TLOU2 <3

The game has been patched a lot since launch so bugs won't be an issue.

This is one of those classic cases of a game getting better the more you play it. The first few hours of the game are pretty boring with some of the worst/most uninteresting characters and story beats. The more you play, the better it gets.

Actually I have RDR2 as well but that's quite boring so I switched over to this. Want to keep myself busy till May for TLOU2.

Good. Once you get to the later areas and start seeing hordes of 500~800+ zombies, that'll be a treat.

Just finished the main storyline and I would say F**k the critics and reviewers for bashing it considering the fact that its a substantial effort from a smaller studio previously known for only handheld games. I would say its a worthy PS4 exclusive and fans of Uncharted/TLOU series should definitely play it at least. I hardly felt bored during the entire play through. Came across a few glitches and slowdowns even though i was on Patch 1.61. I was extremely impressed by the dynamic weather effects especially rain and storm with winds blowing around. Its a beautiful game in term of visuals.

To me, it was a decent game and I would definitely be interested in a sequel and i hope it comes out on PS5 as this franchise has potential and is unique in the genre.

Did you get all the endings ?

The one big one which sets up the very obvious plot point for the sequel ?

Nope. Only took the one where I blew everything up and killed Colonel. I saw an article that there is an ending for O'Brain story as well. Can you guide me how to get those endings? I am doing missions for camps but nothing has come up yet.

Basically keep doing stuff after the general story ending, nero research sites, hordes etc.

You'll get one final call from O'Brien for a meet up and the rest I'll leave to you to discover.

It's a sequel bait setup if I've ever seen one.

Do I have to complete everything on the map or just do random stuff?

I have atleast 15-20 horde missions to complete and I don't want to do all of them :-/

Start with the simper stuff like the nero sites if you haven't.

I don't know exactly 100% what triggers it, but I was pretty much doing everything as it came up. Though, for me that ending definitely came *before* I got the platinum so you do not have to get 100% completion.

Time to Move to RDR2, Spiderman and HZD Complete Edition. TLOU2 I am eagarly waiting for it :tears:
Fantastic !

What did you think about the final twist ?

Also, since you're moving to RDR2 after this, be ready for a very slow/boring albeit a much better experience production values wise.

I have a few theories of my own now. Since Deacon was using the Nero injectors for enhancing his abilities, I think in the sequel he might turn into a freak and needs a cure to save himself. Secondly Nero wants to dominate the world or completely cleanse it so they want to end all human race. Plus O'Brain turning into a mutated intelligent freak means DG2 will have much more nasty stuff to deal with.

I played RDR2 for an hour and its boring like anything. Its blurry and soft as hell with the controls being slow AF. How am i going to spend around 100hrs with it. I hope the story progress is interesting with time.
