[h=1]Apex Legends adds permanent Duos mode, map rotation in next week’s event[/h][h=1]

Take down other teams in a squad of two on Kings Canyon or World’s Edge

On Thursday, Respawn announced a new event for Apex Legends. Focused on Bloodhound, this event features the permanent addition of the Duos mode and adds Kings Canyon to the map rotation. As part of the event, players can battle prowler enemies in a small section of the World’s Edge map for bonus loot. There are also exclusive rewards and direct purchase cosmetic items. The event runs from April 7-21.
Apex Legends fans without a concrete group of three players will be excited for this event. According to Respawn, players will have permanent access to the two-player mode, whichdebuted last November. The mode will be available on both Kings Canyon and World’s Edge maps. The permanent addition of the beloved Duos mode comes with no mention of thelimited time solos mode from last year.
Players will also be able to venture into the Bloodhound Trials area of World Edge, where beasts roam the town. By taking waves of these prowlers down, players can earn even better loot. However, the studio cautions about players venturing into this area — as other teams of Legends can easily pick off players distracted by the beasts and loot.
The Old Ways event also offers an exclusive prize track. Players can complete daily challenges and earn points to pick up rewards based off of the Stories from the Outlands: The Old Ways digital short. Players will also be able to directly purchase cosmetics from the shop. The event offers new skins, also inspired by the digital short, and sees the return of all eight Legendary Hunt skins.

[h=1]Apex Legends’ Battle Armor Event will let players start games with armor and a gun[/h]

The type of armor that players get will change throughout the event

Earlier this year, Respawn Entertainment introduced a new type of armor to Apex Legendscalled Evo armor. Evo armor gets stronger the more kills you get, and it was popular enough to help spawn a brand new event for the game. This new event is called the Battle Armor Event and it will be live in Apex Legends from April 28 to May 12 to close out the game’s fourth season.
The Battle Armor Event will change up the way that Apex Legends games begin, and the kind of loot that players can find. In every Battle Armor Event match players will start with armor and a P2020 pistol. But there will be no armor on the island for players to pick up. There will still be shield cells and batteries for players to refill their armor, though. The quality of the armor that players start with will change throughout the event.

In the first few days, players will only drop with White armor. Next, players will have Blue armor. Then players will get Purple armor. And, finally, in the last few days of the event players will all start with Evo armor.
According to Respawn, this is the first of many different twists the developer plans to put on the Apex Legends formula in the near future. The Battle Armor Event will run until May 12, the new starting date for Apex Legends season 5. Below you can find a full schedule for the event and which days different armor types will be available.

  • April 28 at 1 p.m. EDT — May 2 at 1 p.m. EDT: Level 1 White armor only
  • May 2 at 1:01 p.m. EDT — May 6 at 1 p.m. EDT: Level 2 Blue armor only
  • May 6 at 1:01 p.m. EDT — May 9 at 1 p.m. EDT: Level 3 Purple armor only
  • May 9 at 1:01 p.m. EDT — May 12 at 1 p.m. EDT: Evo armor only

[h=1]Apex Legends seems to tease a new robotic character[/h]

Possibly a simulacrum?

It looks like a new character is being teased for Apex Legends. On Wednesday afternoon, the game’s Twitter account tweeted a mysterious GIF that appears to show off a mechanical head, along with a brief description of a simulacrum — characters which may be familiar to Titanfall veterans.

According to the GIF, simulacra are somewhere between androids and cyborgs on the robotic spectrum of life. While androids are fully mechanical beings, and cyborgs are half-organic hybrids, simulacra appear to be humans who had their consciousness transferred into a new mechanical body. Simulacra as characters have existed in the Apex Legends universe since the Titanfall games, where players occasionally fought alongside or against them.
According to the GIF, simulacra still see themselves as human because of a bit of programming that causes them to see their former body when they look in a mirror. The GIF also appears to be called “Trial 7578.” It explains that three subjects have attempted (and failed) the neural transfer, including Subject C, who went “hysterical” when they were shown an exact copy of themselves.
While this looks like a tease for a new Apex Legends character, there’s really no way to tell for sure until Respawn reveals a little bit more. And even when the developer does give us more information, we’ll just have to take its word for it, considering the last character revealinvolved an entirely fake character getting announced first.
Apex Legends’ next season is set to begin on May 12, which could be the possible release date of this new character.

[h=1]Apex Legends’ newest hero is Loba, an expert thief with a tragic past[/h]
She’s also got some kind of score to settle with Revenant

Apex Legends is getting a new hero: Loba Andrade. In a new teaser trailer released on Thursday, we get a look at Loba’s work as a world-class thief, and learn that she has a history with one of Apex Legends’ other characters.
Loba’s reveal trailer starts out with her childhood, where at least one of her parents was killed and she was sent into the foster care system. From there, she grew up to be a thief.
As she got older, she also got better, stealing valuable objects from all over the world and meeting a friend along the way. We don’t get many details on him, but it seems this friend becomes Loba’s partner and possibly the tech expert behind her talent for larceny. Once she finally steals a valuable-looking necklace that seems to be her crowning achievement, her friend tells her he found “him,” and pulls up a massive image of Revenant on a display.
It isn’t clear exactly what Loba’s history with Revenant might be, but it seems possible that he killed her parent. This history also gives us a little bit more context on the teaser that Respawn released on Wednesday afternoon. It would appear that the teaser wasn’t for this new hero, but rather a reference to Revenant himself, and was possibly the file that helped Loba’s friend locate the shadowy simulacrum assassin. It’s possible that getting close to Revenant is the reason behind her joining the Apex Games.
The trailer doesn’t give us too many hints at what Loba’s abilities might be when she’s added to the game, but they’re likely to be pretty sneaky since she’s a master jewel thief. Loba will likely be added as part of Apex Legends’ season 5, which is set to start on May 12.

[h=1]Apex Legends is getting a PvE mode for its new seasonlong quest[/h]

The quest will be called ‘The Broken Ghost’

Apex Legends has had seasons since it debuted in 2019, but those seasons usually just mean a new battle pass, a new character, and some map changes. Season 5 has all of those things, but developer Respawn Entertainment is also adding a new feature called the Season Quest.
The quest, called “The Broken Ghost,” will take players on a journey to find nine pieces of a “mysterious artifact,” Respawn said Friday in a blog post. Players can collect a daily Treasure Pack during any Apex Legends match. These Treasure Packs function like regular loot, except you get them as soon as they’re picked up, rather than them going in your inventory, so you won’t lose one if you die after grabbing. Treasure Packs give rewards — such as Crafting Materials, battle pass XP, and Apex Packs — as well as new Hunts.
Hunts are weekly missions that send players, either solo or in a squad, searching through Kings Canyon for pieces of the aforementioned artifact. During these missions, players will have to fight off dangerous enemies like prowlers. If you complete a mission that you’ve unlocked from a Treasure Pack, you may earn a piece of the artifact — and get one step closer to completing the quest.
Along with pieces of the artifact, Hunts will also give players rewards and story chapters that will help explain some of season 5’s bigger mysteries. Once you’ve got all nine pieces of the artifact, you’ll “dive into the past, and uncover a secret that the Outlands might not be ready for,” according to Respawn.
The first Hunt will be available on May 19, a week after season 5 begins. Players can access their first Hunt after they’ve collected five Treasure Packs. Each Hunt after the first will be released once per week until all nine are available to play.

[h=1]Here’s what Apex Legends’ new character Loba can do[/h]

Respawn reveals the full ability kit of Apex’s master thief

Respawn has been giving us teases for Loba for a couple of weeks now, but we finally know exactly what Apex Legends’ new character is capable of. On Monday, the developer releasedLoba’s full kit and all her loot-focused abilities.
Here are the details, straight from Respawn:
Tactical Ability — Buglar’s Best Friend
Teleport to hard-to-reach places or escape trouble quickly by throwing your Jump Drive bracelet.

Passive Ability — Eye for Quality
Nearby Epic and Legenday loot can be seen through walls. The range is the same as Black Market Boutique.

Ulimate Ability — Black Market Boutique
Place a portable device that allows you to teleport nearby loot to your inventory. Each friendly or enemy Legend can take up to two items.

Loba’s kit seems fitting for a master thief. Just about every ability has something to do with loot or getting out of a tight spot. While the ability to see certain loot through walls should be useful in matches, especially in the early and mid-game, her ultimate will be a little bit more situational. It’s easy to see how you could use it to get your squad out of a jam when you’re running low on ammo late in the game, but it might take a little bit more creativity to use it effectively in the middle of a match.
The real star of the show will probably be Loba’s teleport, which on-paper sounds like one of the most powerful abilities in all of Apex Legends. She’ll be able to teleport to otherwise hard-to-reach locations or even confuse enemies by teleporting behind them or to where she’s already standing for a bit of misdirection.
Loba will be added to the game as part of Apex Legends season 5, which begins on May 12. She will be available from the in-game store, just like all of Apex Legends’ previously released characters.

[h=1]Apex Legends season 5 patch adds Loba, and reworks Mirage[/h]

Loba has arrived

Apex Legends season 5 is here and Respawn has finally let us know what’s in the game’s latest update. Along with the addition of Loba, Apex’s newest character, this patch also includes a new version of the Kings Canyon map with Skull Town completely replaced, as well as some balance changes to weapons and Legends.
Loba’s been confirmed for quite a while and we saw her abilities on Monday. She’s sneaking into season 5 with a kit fit for a master thief. Loba can see rare loot through walls, vacuum up all the loot in a small area directly to her staff, and even teleport short distances to get out of a jam.
This patch also changes Kings Canyon by bringing in an entirely new area to replace Skull Town. What was once a collection of buildings in the desert is now a destroyed landmass dotted with military complexes and an underground facility for players to explore.
Season 5 will also bring in a new PvE mode called Hunts which is part of “The Broken Ghost” season quest. To unlock each Hunt you’ll need to find Treasure Packs in-game. These drops are random and can come from any chest you open in a regular battle royale match. The first Hunt won’t go live until next week and there will be nine in total. If you complete all nine, you’ll unlock a special cosmetic reward.
Finally, the season 5 patch is bringing plenty of balance changes, including a full rework for Mirage. The goal of this rework is to let Mirage players be a little bit more tricky with their clones by giving them the ability to change when they do and don’t mimic Mirage’s movement. There are also changes to a few other Legends in this patch, like a buff to Caustic that causes his gas to no longer slow teammates, as well as a big nerf to Pathfinder’s Grappling Hook cooldown, which is going from 15 seconds to 35 seconds.
For a full look at all the changes coming to Apex Legends in season 5, you can check out thefull patch notes below.

[h=2]APEX LEGENDS SEASON 5 COMPLETE PATCH NOTES[/h][h=2]NEW LEGEND: LOBA[/h]Tactical - Burglar’s Best Friend

  • Teleport to hard-to-reach places or escape trouble quickly by throwing your Jump Drive bracelet.
Ultimate - Black Market Boutique

  • Place a portable device that allows you to teleport nearby loot to your inventory. Each friendly or enemy Legend can take up to two items.
Passive - Eye for Quality

  • Nearby epic and Legendary loot can be seen through walls.
  • The range is the same as Black Market Boutique.
[h=2]MAP UPDATE: KINGS CANYON[/h]
Skulltown and Thunderdome have fallen. A new POI, Salvage, has been added to the Broken Coast. Across the map, the Offshore Rig connects to the former Relay and Wetlands. Wetlands has been replaced by the excavation of the Capacitor, which has a new underground pathway to Singh Labs. Nesting Grounds has continued to regrow into the Reclaimed Forest, which features an expanded Singh Labs exterior and a small camp outside of The Cage. Check out our blog post herefor more information on these changes!
Kings Canyon will be the only map available for two weeks after the season launch, so players can have time to fully explore the changes and meta shift. After the two week honeymoon period, Map Rotation will start rotating World’s Edge Season 4 into the mix.
[h=2]CHARGE TOWERS[/h]Charge Towers are new devices unearthed in the excavation of Kings Canyon. Activate them to grant a full Ultimate charge to any Legends standing on the platform when the charge blast goes out.
[h=2]LEGEND UPDATES[/h]Mirage
Designer Note: The hope for this rework is that it gives more depth to Mirage gameplay by giving Mirage players avenues to get better at Bamboozling people.
Tactical: Psyche Out

  • Pressing the character utility action button allows Mirage to gain control of his decoy.
  • When controlling the decoy, it will mimic Mirage’s every move.
  • Decoys now last for 60 seconds.
  • Releasing another decoy will remove the previous decoy.
Ultimate: Life of the Party

  • Mirage deploys a team of decoys that mimic his every move (think “Emergency Dance Party” from DUMMIEs Big Day).
  • Cooldown 60 seconds.
Passive: Now You See Me…

  • In addition to cloaking when downed, Mirage also cloaks while using a respawn beacon and reviving a teammate (the teammate is also cloaked).
Mirage’s “You got Bamboozled” line will now trigger when you bamboozle an enemy, instead of when you release a decoy.
Bloodhound
Tactical: Eye of the Allfather

  • Increased Sonar Detection from 3 seconds to 4 seconds.
  • Decreased Cooldown from 35 seconds to 25 seconds.
Crypto
Tactical: Drone

  • Crypto can now ping banners, while in drone, to warn teammates of nearby squads.
Lifeline

  • Increased Lifeline bin ratio to 20%
  • Removed Knockdown Shields from Secret Compartment loot pool
Cuastic
Designer note: this is something that is a bit of an experiment. We will be keeping an eye out to make sure this change doesn’t cause any degenerate player behavior.
  • Friendly gas no longer slows teammates.
  • Caustic traps are no longer triggered from the other side of a door.
Octane
Designer note: This is a first step in pushing more team utility for Octane. We have more updates planned but they didn’t make the cutoff for this patch.
  • Launch Pad cooldown is reduced from 90 seconds to now 60 seconds.
Gibraltar
Designer note: Internal data shows that Gibraltar’s performance in individual fights is in a good place, but we want to bring down his power a bit in team fights.
  • Reduced Dome Shield duration from 18s to 12s.
Pathfinder
Designer note: Given the power of quick repositioning in Apex, being able to use Pathfinder’s Grappling Hook multiple times in a fight is both too powerful and muddies combat legibility.
  • The cooldown for Grappling Hook has been increased from 15 seconds to 35 seconds.
[h=2]WEAPONS AND LOOT UPDATES[/h]Season 5 Fully-kitted Gold Weapons

  • Longbow DMR
  • Hemlok
  • Spitfire

[h=2]RANKED SERIES 4[/h]This new season starts a new Ranked Series! This season we are sticking to mostly the same format but have also introduced a key feature, Reconnect.
[h=2]RECONNECT[/h]
Players that leave a match unexpectedly can now rejoin their match in progress. “Unexpected” means exiting the match through any means other than the system menu, including crashing, using alt+f4 on PC, or “dashboarding” to close the game on console. To reconnect, simply restart the game and enter the lobby. The game will automatically attempt to reconnect you if the match is still valid, your squad is still alive, and your chance to reconnect hasn’t timed out. Reconnect will be available for all competitive modes.
Disconnected players’ characters remain in the state they were in while the player was connected. To their teammates, it will look a bit like the disconnected player has gone afk (with an icon next to their name to indicate disconnection). This means when the player reconnects, they can immediately continue where they left off. Unless, that is, they were killed beforehand. Player characters can be knocked out and eliminated while the player is disconnected. Disconnected players whose characters have died can be respawned normally, by taking their banner to a respawn beacon, before or after the player has reconnected.
If a player doesn’t reconnect in time, the disconnected player’s character is removed as normal, and the game will treat their disconnect as an abandonment. There is a limited time window in which a player can reconnect and failing to do so in Ranked will result in a loss penalty. Loss forgiveness does not activate until a player is fully removed from the game, so don’t drop from a ranked match when your squadmates have a chance to reconnect!
To read more on Series 4 Ranked, Read the blog here.
[h=2]CONDITIONAL LEGEND CHATTER[/h]
Under certain pairings, Legends will speak to each other differently when prompted with normal dialogue cues. How does Loba thank Revenant for a revive? She sure doesn’t say “Thank you.”
There are many pairings if you are interested in hearing what everyone has to say. Experiment!
[h=2]BUG FIXES[/h]

  • Fixed looting in pillboxes being difficult around weapons.
  • Fixed aiming speed during zooming lerp to be consistent with hipfire and ADS speed.

  • Added voice over for pinging enemies who are reviving.

[h=1]Apex Legends servers are down after launch of new PvE event[/h]

The First Piece mission isn’t working because servers are down

Apex Legends got its brand new season 5 PvE event on Tuesday ... sort of. The event that was supposed to kick off the new seasonlong quest is being hampered by server outages that appear to be keeping players from starting the event.
The mission lives in a separate matchmaking queue that players can select and then match into. However, when you try to start the mission, the game gets stuck in an endless loop of “matchmaking” and then “starting server,” and the mission never actually begins.
While it’s not clear if everyone is experiencing the same issues, the Apex Legends subreddit is filled with complaints from players who can’t start the mission. However, it appears that Respawn Entertainment is well aware of the network issues, and that they’re affecting all aspects of the game on all platforms. The developer tweeted an acknowledgment of the connection problems almost an hour after the mission launched, and said that it was looking into possible fixes. For now, there’s no word on when the mission, or Apex Legends’ servers overall, will be fixed and working again.

Thankfully, there will be plenty of time to get this mission done before the next one unlocks. Only one mission in “The Broken Ghost” quest line will be released each week, and the missions will continue for the rest of the season. This first mission is available to any player that collected five Treasure Packs — or at least, it will be when it’s working. The next mission will go live next Tuesday, May 26.

[h=1]Apex Legends is coming to Switch this fall, along with cross-play[/h]

Respawn will offer cross-play across all platforms

Apex Legends season 5 started just a few weeks ago, and while plans for a new “Lost Treasures” Collection Event were revealed during tonight’s EA Play press conference, the really shocking news was that the game would be coming to Nintendo Switch in the fall.
While details about the Switch version are extremely limited, Respawn did reveal that all versions of Apex Legends will soon support cross-play on every one of the game’s supported platforms, including Xbox One, PS4, Steam, Origin and, yes, Switch. Cross-play support is also planned for this fall, possibly alongside the launch of the Switch version.

Image: Respawn/Electronic ArtsAs for the “Lost Treasures” Collection Event, Respawn showed off some of the new, gold-themed skins, as well as a new item: the Mobile Respawn Beacon. This item will appear in players’ inventories at the beginning of each match during the event, letting teammates respawn wherever they’d like.
The “Lost Treasures” event will start on Tuesday, June 23.

Apex Legends season 6 and new legend Rampart revealed

Respawn introduces players to Rampart (and Sheila)

The next season of free-to-play battle royale Apex Legends kicks off Aug. 18, developer Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts announced Thursday. The game’s next legend, Rampart, was also revealed after a series of in-game teases.

Apex Legends season 6 is titled Boosted, and will bring with it a new crafting system. “Don’t like your gear?” the official Apex Legends website reads. “Collect materials around the map and build something better!”

Season 6 will also introduce a new weapon, Volt, an electrified submachine gun, and a new battle pass that includes more than 100 items, ranging from legendary skins to Apex Packs to new “Holo-Sprays.”

Perhaps the biggest change is the addition of a new character, Rampart. She’s described as an “expert modder who made her name in underground fight clubs, [who] talks big and has the ballistics to back it up.” A teaser trailer for Rampart appears to answer the question being asked in-game this week, “Who’s Sheila?” Well, Sheila is a gun. Rampart’s gun.

Apex Legends is available for free on PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One.

Respawn shows off Apex Legends’ season 6 map changes

Season 6 also got a slightly new release date

Two Apex Legends characters look at the World’s Edge map from a drop ship

Respawn keeps doling out the previews for Apex Legends season 6 at a slow and steady pace. On Friday morning, it was the gameplay trailer, and now Respawn is giving players a preview of some of the World’s Edge map changes that the trailer teased.

In a new post on the Apex Legends website, Respawn offers players an in-depth look at some of the locations that are getting updated on the World’s Edge map for season 6. Some of the biggest changes are coming to the lava section of the map, which is getting a few new points of interest, like Launch Site, a new area west of The Dome — which adds some new and much-needed cover, and should make it a slightly more interesting area to play in.

Even better, Respawn is cleaning up some of the paths around that map, which should make rotating from the lava area a little easier if you get an unlucky circle. Another area new to this version of the map is Countdown. As Hammond Industries moves into the World’s Edge map and reshapes it for its own mysterious purposes, the old Drill Site area on the map has been replaced by Countdown.

Countdown, Launch Site, and Staging — another new area added for season 6 — have new retractable walls, which players can raise if they’re in need of some extra defenses. But don’t rely on them too much; there’s always a path below or around these walls.

The post also includes a few more tweaks and changes located all around the map, complete with image sliders to show players side-by-side comparisons of the new and old versions of each area. Of course, Respawn probably isn’t showing off all the changes, either, so there will probably be a few more surprises when the season actually goes live.

Speaking of going live, Respawn also announced a new detail on the season 6 release. Apex Legends season 6 was set to go live on Aug. 18, and while that is still technically true, it’s actually going to be released a little earlier (depending on where you live). To help ease the bandwidth requirement of too many people trying to download the season patch at once, it will be released at 1 a.m. EDT that day — which is 10 p.m. PDT on Aug. 17.

New Apex Legends character Rampart bringing shields and turrets to the Apex Games

The genius modder is ready for the Apex Games

Apex Legends’ newest character was revealed last week and we finally know what she does. On Sunday, Respawn revealed Rampart’s full kit and all her abilities.

Rampart is an underground modder in the world of Apex Legends, which means she’s also got the tech expertise to give herself a few impressive advantages. Rampart’s Passive ability allows her to have faster reload time and increased ammo capacity in any LMG she’s carrying — or her own mini gun.

With her Tactical Ability, Rampart can build shield walls for her allies — or anyone else who steps behind them — to use. These walls will block bullets coming from one side and amp bullets being shot from behind them, which should make it extra strong for locking down an area with your squad. Speaking of locking things down, Rampart’s Ultimate ability builds a mounted mini gun called Sheila with a very high rate of fire and a very slow reload speed.

RAMPART’S ABILITIES
  • Tactical Ability — Amped Cover: Build a crouch-cover wall, which deploys a full-cover amped wall that blocks incoming shots and amps outgoing shots
  • Passive Ability — Modded Loader: Increased magazine capacity and faster reloads/recharge when using LMGs and the minigun
  • Ultimate Ability — Place a mounted machine gun that anyone can use. High ammo capacity, long reload time
Rampart is set to be released alongside Apex Legends season 6, which is scheduled to start on Aug. 18.

Apex Legends update nerfs Wraith’s Naruto run

Wraith now sprints as if she’s never been in anime club

A still image of Wraith from Apex Legends’ CG reveal trailer

Respawn Entertainment dropped a substantial update for Apex Legends on Monday, kicking off the battle royale game’s cross-play beta, Flashpoint limited-time mode, and the Aftermarket Collection Event. According to Respawn’s patch notes, the update also includes balance changes to Legends like Bloodhound, Wraith, Loba, and Pathfinder.

One big change made to Wraith is her sprinting animation. She no longer runs like Naruto (or a Naruto fan intent on storming Area 51), hunched over with aerodynamic arm placement. The Apex Legends News Twitter account has a clear, side-by-side illustration of this change, which is breaking hearts across the Apex Legends community.

Why change it now? For a very good reason, Respawn says. “Wraith dominates,” the developer explains in its patch notes, and instead of further nerfing her abilities (and running the risk of making Wraith “a lot less fun to play”), Respawn looked at one of her other unique characteristics: how she runs.

Respawn discovered that Wraith’s sprinting animations “are unique in how much they artificially shorten her (by hunching over), thus shrinking her shootable area from the perspective of the enemy. It doesn’t sound like a lot, but taken together with her already small hitbox, it’s a lot of power.” Wraith’s new sprinting animations are “much more upright and expose a larger area of her body to gunfire,” Respawn says.

The developer continues: “Now we know her old sprint was iconic and we hate to see it go as well, but we believe this is the best way by far of bringing her in line without having to hit her abilities again. Depending on what we see after these animations go live, we may even be able to put some power back into her abilities (no promises though).”

More details about Apex Legends’ changes are available at EA’s website.

Titanfall wall-running comes to Apex Legends with Halloween event

Fight or Fright event gets started on Thursday

Apex Legends“Fight or Fright” Halloween celebration is back again. Shadow Royale, a new limited-time mode, is a variation on last year’s event, in which killing an opponent meant you also had to deal with them as a swift-moving, tear-your-ass-up undead ghost.

In a twist, the swift-moving, tear-your-ass-up undead ghosts can run alongside walls, which should be fun for anyone trying to stay alive. It’s like Shadowfall in 2019, with everyone running around trying to keep their living Legends revived and finishing off the other team. Once a team’s living fighters have been snuffed out, they lose.

Wall-running, a staple of the Titanfall universe in which Apex Legends is set, has had effectively no presence in this game since its February 2019 launch. Players can ascend walls vertically but can’t move across them horizontally, as the trailer above shows. Respawn itself coyly acknowledged wall-running’s debut as “certain ... mobility enhancements” in Tuesday’s blog post.

Shadow Royale returns to the Kings Canyon After Dark map. The Fight or Fright event progresses along a 4,000 point Prize Track, giving out XP boosts, skins, Stat Trackers, and a weapon charm. “Resurrected cosmetics” means the looks from last year make an encore, with slight changes. These reimagined threads include Bloodhound’s “Wicked Harvest” jack-o-lantern costume and Caustic’s evil-clown getup.

Fight or Fright will run until Nov. 3, and is available on all platforms, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One. Apex Legends is a free-to-play game.

I dont think games have looked any better since 2019 onwards and they are performing worse and worse. Game developers have really dropped the ball.

What is peoples obsession with Battle Royale genre. 6 minutes to find a match, 3 minutes to setup a match, 2 minutes to land, 10 minutes for scavanging maybe 2 3 gunfigts and its over. Multiplayer landscape is looking absolute dogshit.
I tried playing Apex Legends once. Couldn't find a gun for 5 minutes straight. If I found a gun, I couldn't find the right ammo for it. Got killed fighting with my fists. Uninstalled it the next day.

After I watched it, I never felt like i watched a show. It was a friggin journey. I got way too attached to Thorfinn and seeing him grow up and find himself and get rid of all the negativity inside of him was just pure bliss.

With how great cod warzone has translated onto mobile. Mainstream Consoles have lost its value even further. Maybe console gaming was associated with TVs and how TV is not the primary source of media consumption anymore, consoles will lose its 200 million core audiences even further.
