[h=1]Switch Pro Controller support comes to Steam[/h]
[h=2]Through this week’s beta client update; instructions below[/h]

Steam will support the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller beginning with a Steam Client Beta update that released on Wednesday.
The client makes the Pro Controller fully bindable and customizable, including such features as its gyroscope and vibration. Settings are changed through Controller Settings page, which is the same page that configures PlayStation 4 and Xbox One controller support.
Notably, this page includes a the global option to “Use Nintendo Button Layout” which can be used to swap the A/B and X/Y buttons of a loaded configuration, which will be useful for those who choose a template configuration for Steam Controller or Xbox One. Community configuration sets, shared over Steam, are also available to those using the Switch Pro Controller.
Bear in mind, the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller does not have analog triggers, and this won’t give it to one either. So it may not be the best option for games that have a throttle or other similar command on those buttons. Otherwise, the support is a way to extend some value out of the $69.99 gamepad.
Valve has full instructions on how to configure the support, but remember you need to have opted into the Steam Client Beta first. Users on Reddit have some additional details on how it works — such as controlling the LED light on the home button.

Yup. But you never needed steam controller before. Steam works with all the known controllers out there. Xbox controller (both 360 and One) , dualshock 3 and 4 and now even switch controller. Even a cheap generic controller will work. I use my ds4 regularly, IMO the best controller right now. Supports rumble, gyro, led light tuning and all that fancy stuff [emoji3]

Competition is stiffer on PC where you can play with just about any controller. No need for a mediocre Switch controller when I already have access to the best of all time (aka Steam controller) ;)

[h=1]Valve's Free Steam Link App Will Make Your Entire Steam Library Playable on iOS and Android Devices[/h]
The free mobile app will let you stream games from your PC to your phone.
Valve has announced two free mobile apps that will allow you to play any game or video in your Steam Library on any supported iOS or Android devices. The Steam Link app, which is slated to release the week of May 21, will work similarly to the physical Steam Link device. It will allow you to run games on your PC that you then stream and play on any device using the app, as long as the host PC is connected either to a 5Ghz network or plugged in with an ethernet cable.

How you will actually control those games is a different question altogether, although Steam’s Big Picture mode already has a history of allowing controls to be highly customizable in games that otherwise don't support it. The Steam Link app will support the use of a Steam Controller and MFI controllers, and you’ll likely need to use something similar as most games won’t have native support for touch controls.

Later this summer, Valve will also be releasing the Steam Video app, which will extend a similar service to Steam’s library of TV shows and movies. This will include the ability to watch this content in offline mode.
Also similar to the physical Steam Link, latency and internet connection will likely be an important factor in the quality of streams on either app.

[h=1]Adult visual novels to be censored further or removed from Steam, developers say[/h]

[h=2]Developers have been told to change their games or face removal[/h]

Valve has recently issued warnings to visual novel developers concerning adult content in their games, according to multiple game studios who say they were affected.
The developers behind notoriously NSFW games Mutiny!!and HuniePop, which both contain extreme nudity, said on Twitter this week that their catalogues are being squeezed off of Steam, pending additional censorship.
“I’ve received an e-mail from Valve stating that HuniePop violates the rules & guidelines for pornographic content on Steam and will be removed from the store unless the game is updated to remove said content,” HuniePot, the studio that made the popular puzzle game-meets-sexy visual novel, tweeted.
HuniePop remains available for now, however. There’s no warning on its Steam store page that it’s under threat of removal, either. The same is true of Mutiny!!, although its developer wrote that it’s even more confused about Valve’s message.
“We’ve just received some troubling news today that Steam_games has decided to pull down our titled “Mutiny!!” [sic] within 2 weeks for ‘reports of pornographic content,’” Lupiesoft, the studio behind Mutiny!!, said on Twitter. Lupiesoft went on to explain in the thread that the studio has worked closely with Valve, according to tweets, and was told that softcore nudity was allowed on Steam. We have reached out to Lupiesoft for comment.
In addition, the Steam versions of these games are censored already, with fully uncensored versions able to be purchased from other retailers. HuniePop and Mutiny!! can both be patched to include the uncensored content, however, as can other explicit games. These patches are never allowed to be shared on Steam, though they are typically able to be found on developers’ websites or through a quick Google search.
Still, it remains a possibility that both games could soon be gone. We’ve reached to Valve for confirmation. If they are removed from the storefront, though, neither title will be removed from owners’ Steam libraries — so if you own HuniePop, don’t worry about it disappearing from your list of games.
Where Steam draws the line for sexual themes in games remains unknown, as recent titles like the comedic BDSM visual novel Ladykiller in a Bind never received any notice from Valve, according to that game’s lead producer, Christine Love. There has also been no statement about the plethora of mainstream games that include nudity, like The Witcher 3 orGrand Theft Auto 5.
Adult visual novels on Steam have always been an iffy subject, as the Steam platform is accessible to minors. Whether or not the games really belong on the platform has been an ongoing question, as people might not want others to see that they’ve been playing lightly pornographic games (even if they’re just playing for the plot, they swear).
Valve’s guidelines to join the Steamworks Partner Program note that pornography is not allowed, though it doesn’t say anything about nudity.
Adult-themed visual novels have been on Steam for a long time now, with HuniePopreleasing in January 2015. Valve has yet to make a statement on why its policies have changed.

Spring Cleaning

Spring Cleaning. That wonderful time of year where people go through their closets to make space, and in doing so discover forgotten gems lost to the bottom of plastic storage totes. But why should the joy of rediscovering a kitschy t-shirt, or a well-hidden holiday gift, be limited to cleaning our homes? With so many wonderful games out there it’s easy to have a backlog of titles that you always intended to go play, but for whatever reason never got around to and the Steam Spring Cleaning Event is the time to change that. By diving into your Steam Library and playing games that you haven’t looked at in a while (or at all), you can unlock and level up the new Spring Cleaning badge. But this event isn’t just for those with a hefty backlog of titles to work through as we said earlier, Spring Cleaning is a time of delightful surprises and so in that spirit the following games will be available to play FREE for the duration of the event (May 24th -May 28th)

Don’t Starve Together
Dead by Daylight
Cities: Skylines
Tyranny
Borderlands 2
Castle Crashers
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor
Left 4 Dead 2
Dirt 4

It’s a great time for games, so enjoy the weekend exploring Steam and finding a new classic to add to your all-time favorite list.

[h=1]Steam Summer Sale 2018 date leaked[/h]
The starting date for Steam’s next big sale, the Summer Sale, has made its way online.
Valve never officially announces the dates for its various Steam sales every year, but, some Good Samaritan always comes along to reveal the dates ahead of time.
In this case, Steam Database, a site that tracks changes to games on the massive Steam database, revealed that the Summer Sale is starting on Thursday, June 21 this year.

Happened to me today while I was trying to update PUBG. I was on Telenor 4G but speed wasn't exceeding 30kbps. Suspending the download and restarting it worked for me.

What is peoples obsession with Battle Royale genre. 6 minutes to find a match, 3 minutes to setup a match, 2 minutes to land, 10 minutes for scavanging maybe 2 3 gunfigts and its over. Multiplayer landscape is looking absolute dogshit.
I tried playing Apex Legends once. Couldn't find a gun for 5 minutes straight. If I found a gun, I couldn't find the right ammo for it. Got killed fighting with my fists. Uninstalled it the next day.
