120km/h in 3rd gear? It's a city, not a M5
M5 E60 hits 125km/h on the second gear.

---------- Post added at 11:18 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:05 PM ----------

Its 1.3 4EFE the younger variant of the 1.6 4AFE. This has around 97HP as compared to the 128 from 4AFE. As for specs using this with a transmission from a 1.3 4EFTE with taller gear ratios. It was stage 1 like 5 months back but since the petrol prices went up I converted it to CNG.

Previously it had high performance wires, Air Intake, custom made exhaust and performance plugs.

This is great man, 97hp in that body must make it run like hell :D

So did this engine come originally with it?

@ammar: its pretty easily assumed especially since the third gear has the most power in it :) it can reach 120 but anything above would be HURTING THE ENGINE since its just 1300cc now in my civic 2000 1600 vti ive reached upto 100 on the 2nd gear but again hurting the engine, 80 on 2nd is achieveable..

and its stock, MASHALLAH

120Km/h in 3rd isnt much of an achievement, actually its very easily doable without touching the redline.

Mine does 65 in first and 100 in second, so yeah 120 in 3rd gear for new cars these days isnt much of an issue since the news engine nowadays are pretty free revving engines.

but dude 92BHP @ 6000RPM. redline = 6500. Most Cars bet max power right before the redline so shifting at about 6500 RPM is justified if you want to get upto speed quickly :D. and i love the sound this engine makes when you rev the nuts off it.

that's what i do to overtake noob lane hoggers going at 20km/h in the right lane.

BTW I'm not that impressed with the new City. 1.5L VTEC I was expecting more but the car is literally lifeless in the first 2 gears there's just no acceleration at all.

I really donno that what's with most of you guys comparing max speed's upon the gear change, seriously its pretty lame guy's and ask me why?

There is something known as a "time-lag" factor where you can achieve a certain speed quicker of a particular gear and at a specific RPM and not necessarily hitting the red-line for it which almost every other person is proving over here.
So in other word's, its the time taken to reach 0-100km/h and not hitting 200 in second gear and what not.

I personally own a Daewoo Racer and converted it to its GTi model by the engine and brake's. Here's a small Video I made a while back during the project but with the wrong ECU.
Its an 8V, 1.5 MPFI (1993). I finally got to complete the project this year with its own proper ECU and other stuff, remember its an 18 year old car and i didn't swap the engine, only changed its fuel delivery system with other important stuff.

Yes I see the check engine light in your video due to the Wrong ECU I presume. What about the wiring? Did you sort it or do it yourself?

wtf
not sure If serious o_O
Name a faster 1.3L car that u can buy in the market currently

Only Swift matches its acceleration

there is nothing wrong with touching 6000RPM on the New City
and Yeh it does 120Km/h In 3rd Gear (sm1)

screw the top speed man. i mean the 'pick' in 2nd gear. TBH I haven't driven any other 1300CC car but I am sure they wont be like this. My Diesel Corolla has better pick in 2nd gear; sure it wont do more than 60-70km/h in it but till that it's much much better than a city.
It could be because in 2nd gear 'VTEC hasnt kicked in yo!' :p

Any normal diesel engine would screw a petrol car in acceleration as it has more torque, use your head.

You're one of the very few people who've noticed that Engine Check Light thing :p and yes, you're very right......it was the ECU.

I modified its own wiring for the time being and it worked great, the grips were changed according to the sensor's of the intake manifold and other part's of the engine.

Although after month's i had a contact who i was after for the original GTi's Uncut wiring and i finally did get it, but somehow sadly it didn't work on the car and till today i really don't know why, the ride used to randomly turn off.

I'll post some pic's of the engine and everything and give a proper description of what I had installed and modded soon:)

I have a personal mechanic who does the work that I tell him to. Most mechanic's keep fooling around and never find a specific problem of the car.......they waste your time, money and fuel.
So i diagnose the problem myself, order my guy to fix it.....pay him accordingly and of course not how many other mechanics fleece...... then job done.

If I'am somehow unable to find the problem myself, then i seek help from a famous daewoo worker in G-10 known as Faqir Hussain.
He has some of the knowledge, but don't usually get work done from him as his Mazdoori rates are too high.

Yes my brother is looking trying to find the grips and layouts of the wiring these days. We are trying to bring it much closer to the factory spec engine though it has been running fine for the last almost 1.75 years or so. But I guess it would be better if we can sort out the exact wiring and all since we found out the wiring diagram and patterns which in itself was a hard task.
