i got a serious problem...woh i got a bluray copy from rainbow center of 25gb on bluray.....i played it on my ps3...but whenever i push the start button the ps3 gives me error of (80029941)...which i googled it told me k bluray lens ka problem ae....lekn mere passs baqi sare bluray games and dvds chal ri aen...
kia problem hai...
can it be repaired...

i fixed ps3 slim 250gb model.it had a very weard issue.the ps3 used to boot up 1 to 2 ot of 10 to 15 times.it shows green light but no display.if the ps3 did boot then it freezes when i play any game and green and red pixels scatter across the screen.i first took the risk to open it .on youtube it was told that four coins on the gpu or the cpu will do the trick.i tried it but ps3 shut down after 1 to 3 hours.i tweaked the method by making aluminum foil base and made an aluminum coin sandwitch.when i turned the ps3 onn.it worked. i tested it for 12hours stress test and it passed but the fan speed goes to full in the first 30minutes but no worries.it is working fine ever since.

for past few days when i turn on my fat ps3 it display green light for 3-4 seconds then turn yellow for a second and then flashing red.
but doing restart 2 -3 time it start work again fine without any problem. i play for 5-6 hour straight after this with out any problem. what is it . yellow light of death or other problem i am using cfw.

I have a problem with my ps3 automatically turning off( the power is completely cut off with no lights showing) after being on for around few minutes......

So I flipped the power switch on the back to get the red standby light on and as soon as I press the power button, it goes green for like few minutes and than the power is cut off again. with no lights is showing no standby light nothing.........every time when i start my ps3 this problem has to be occurred......

any suggestions...

i have been having some trouble recently with my old fat 40GB ps3..the red standby light starts flashing after about 20 mins of runtime..the console wont start for a half hour or so and then it again gives me about 20 mins...i am guessing its an overheating problem but i am not sure cause its in a well ventilated and aircondtioned room...help would be appreciated

I have samsung Full HD TV (Model 40D550) with a slim Ps3 (250 GB). Both were running fine for last two years but suddenly two days back the T.V is showing no signal message or check cable connection when ps3 is switched on. I tried using another another brand new hdmi cable but it still didn't work. Anyone has solutions for this problem?

I hadn't used my PS3 for about three months and when I tried starting it a few days back, it didn't give any display. So I did a hard reset and the usual screen showed up asking if I want to use the HDMI output. When I I select yes, the screen goes blank and nothing happens. If I select not to use the HDMI, I still do not get any display but I can hear the startup sound and if I use my controller, I could also hear the menu sounds. I have tried both the options quite a few number of times with the same result. Sometimes when the screen asking if I want to use the HDMI output shows up, it is very spotty and there is tearing.

I have tried using a different HDMI cable. I even tried it on a different TV with a different HDMI cable but got the same result. I also unplugged all the wires and then put them back in.

Are there any other troubleshooting tips before I take my PS3 to a hardware guy?

My PS3 is n CFW 3.55

Hey guys, I have a 120 GB PS3 slim. Whenever I turn it on, it gives me 3 quick beeps and goes back to the stand by mode with red light blinking. I think this might be due to over heating. I have never encountered any such problems over the last 3.5 years of my PS3 slim's life. Is this fixable and should I get it repaired by spending money on it?

I switch my ps3 on different tv and then i connect it with my own tv it was working fine but then it starts to flick the screen for like every 5 min screen goes black with hdmi connection , i tried hdmi with my laptop its working fine so i connected my ps3 again with hdmi now it wont even show the start up screen just completely blank anybody help

You should try removing your heat spreader on both celll and rsx.
Its very risky i have killed mine.
But mine can be fixed if i replace GPU

And what about gpu replacement.
