Ended batman arkham knight on the ps4 finally

truly a great game and a fitting end to the arkham series from rocksteady.

being a batman fan this was truly awesome and although i did see the whole arkham knight red hood thing coming i didn't mind it though.

the best part was the JOKER bits again :D coz without joker there ain't no BATMAN ! that guy made the game so worthwhile i mean the way he appeared outta nowhere during gameplay and such amazing.

Best arkham game ohh yes

Don't you think that is kind of a spoiler. :p

I mean nobody who watched the trailers knew he will be in it and it was a pleasant surprise. I myself didn't know about it and he turned out to be the best part in the game, again.

Spoiler: show
And IKR!! Joker was so awesome. I especially loved that dance/singing bit he did. I couldn't stop laughing. (lmao)

Well, I finished it really late too. But when I posted my review on Facebook, one of my friend got super pissed cause I mentioned Joker in the positives, and he didn't even know Joker was in the game, gave me an earful about spoiling it for him. XD

So that's why I thought it is a possible spoiler. :p

True, true.

So what did you thought about the Batmobile and its implementation? I thought it was good at first but got too, WAY TOO MUCH REPETITIVE!!, and bogged the game down.

Finally played and ended "UNCHARTED 3:DRAKES DECEPTION" Remastered on the ps4

Yes i know its been long enough but again same excuse :p ton of backlog and i had to end this before UC4 :D so yeah it was a great remastered journey, didn't played the first ps3 version but this ps4 remaster was awesome, such glory and such detail i think wouldn't be possible on the ps3. glad i enjoyed it on the ps4 rather than the ps3.

anwyays apart from the glorious GFX which the uc series is so proud off, this time the story was a bit on the downside IMO. uc1 was awesome story and totally gripping, uc2 was the BEST ! yes the antagonist in it was just too furious and in this one it was lacking that i would say. the old hag LOL and talbot weren't so ehh and not to forget the ultimate supernatural element which every uc game has so far wasn't in this one. only a said about amount of one stage had it and that too was just an illusion man ! there was something that was being dug up but that too was wasted and than the abrupt ending.. i was like ok she's dead and she would come back and than talbot right after dies in a very bad boss fight and thats it END CREDITS and thats it :( really frustrated with the ending man

apart from that the journey was a visual to see though. beat it on crushing and it was quite easy, ofcourse easier than the damn button controller breaking uncharted 1 :p

Finished Unchartered 4 on PS4 in these Eid holidays. This is the first ever PS exclusive I have played and that too from Naughty Dog. I am just speechless after this experience, the game play, the narrative, the story, the build up between characters, the art work, the environment, graphics, everything was top notch. This game makes me wanna buy a PS & play all the exclusives. Now I know for sure my next console will definitely be PS4 Neo IA.
Overall would rate this game 9.5/10.

any who played and finished Homefront 2011 ?? need feedback guys ?? i know its old but wanna know !!! please do let me know about the game !!!!
I know it's late but if you still want some feedback, here it is:

The game has a good start with grim and brutal atmosphere and feeling of hopelessness as America is under attack and people are living in dire situations. I would say I quite enjoyed the earlier portions, seeing the brutality and resistance stuff.

BUT the game tries to be Call of Duty too much, and doesn't even accomplish it properly. So instead you get a half baked COD clone, with repetitive and linear shooting areas, especially as the game moves on and just kinda ends quickly. It's quite short, like 4 hours or so only. This is what ruined the game for me. It had potential and could have been its own thing but it strayed away from that and tried to be COD, ending up ruining itself.

Hoping Homefront 2 is better. :p

You should definitely play The Last of Us next when you get the chance. Naughty Dog's masterpiece. One of my favourite game. It is available on PS4 as well in Remastered form.

Call of Duty: Black OPS 3

Another year, another Call of Duty game. And unlike the trend these days where people hate on COD because, well, it's COD, I always enjoy playing them. To me, they are like equivalent to summer blockbusters movies. Fun, entertaining, adrenaline pumping experience. And Black Ops 3 is no exception.

Things I liked:

  • While the main core feel is still typical COD, the additions in this game made a big difference to gameplay. Perhaps the biggest I have experienced in a COD game yet. The additions of augmented powers paved way for some tactical options. You get three groups of power types, each with their pros and cons, and switching them up, testing them out in different scenarios made for sum fun experimentation. Also, the powers themselves were pretty fun to use.
  • While the game is still COD style linear, the areas were often quite large and had vertical aspect to them as well. This resulted in fun battles, especially when you experiment with powers.
  • Addition of drones and robot enemies made for some much needed variety.
  • Some levels, especially near the end, were just beautiful to play in. Infact, I never thought I'll see such levels in a COD game. Kudos on that.
  • Engine overhaul. Treyarch did some major changes to the old COD IW engine. This resulted in a nice visual jump from the previous part. Higher res textures, much better character and facial animations, better lighting, better water simulation etc. The game looked pretty, especially when coming from Black Ops 2, that's all I'm saying.
  • Engine overhaul also resulted in better sound effects. The guns, the explosions, the surrounding effects, all sounded better.
  • While the story took its time, when it got going, it was interesting. And I like the subject it was about generally, so that was an added bonus for me.
  • The chaotic, futuristic, huge scale of war in some areas was a sight to behold.

Things I didn't liked:
  • The game was kinda boring at the start. Felt too futuristic that it took me out of the experience. Also, the earlier missions didn't hook me and took a while before I got interested in the story.
  • While the sound effects are good and much better than previous parts, there was this lack of UMPH effect. Like explosions and grenades and stuff all felt like they didn't had that proper LFE (Bass) effect, even at their Bass boost Sound mode. It mostly felt like a whimper. Maybe I'm too spoiled by DICE and their amazing sound effects in Battlefied series. :p
  • In Treyarch fashion, this part also had a twist. BUT it was easy to see it, so the reveal didn't had the shock value.
  • Apart from two scenes, there is literally no feel that this games is a black ops sequel. They could have named this anything else and it wouldn't have made a difference. This kinda pisses me off because they had the opportunity to make a great trilogy, with this part linking to the other two, but they wasted the Black Ops name.
  • The ending was abrupt.
  • The protagonist was uninteresting for a lot of the game. I didn't even liked his voice.

All in all, it was another enjoyable entry in the franchise. And is a must play for any COD fan.

Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2: After like 8 months in limbo finally finished this one. After halfway through the game it didn't have that much charm visuals were good but the game sorta became monotonous. I'd give this one a 6.5/10.

No Man's Sky (2016)

No Man's Sky is a procedurally generated open world (open universe !?) adventure-exploration game developed by the indie studio Hello Games. Now, this is a very divisive game, and I have never experienced anything like it. It's like the game starts out amazingly well, and slowly deteriorates into a repetitive mess.

Things I liked:

  • The soundtrack. If there is one thing this game nails completely, it was the soundtrack. I simply loved it. From hauntingly beautiful to the epic triumphant pieces, it really gave the game its own feel.
You get this when you enter a space station for the first time:
  • First couple of hours. They were amazing and were exactly what I was hoping for. Things like the first time you fly your ship out of the atmosphere, land on a space station, land on a different planet etc was so exhilarating. It was unlike anything I have ever experienced, and as a space fan, I was having a blast.
  • Next several hours. They were pretty good. At this point, I was constantly reaching milestones and it felt like real progress was being made. Exploring different systems and planets for rich elements in order to upgrade my suit, multi-tool and ship was fun. I had these objectives set, like buying a new ship of certain value, going through a black hole etc and it made these hours enjoyable.
  • Beautiful vistas. I can't count how many times I came upon views where I would just pause and take it all in. While technically, visuals aren't anything impressive (It is an indie game after all), it is the combination of tons of color pellets and the procedural generation that can sometimes create amazing views. Example: Land on a Lush Moon and marvel at the gigantic planet coming up from the horizon in the background as you see beautiful Flora in the foreground.
  • While the crafting wasn't anything deep, it was good enough. The UI was simple, the instructions were clear, and the game constantly gave you tips about what to do etc.
  • Caves. Some planets had some really beautiful cave systems.
  • The fact that instead of simply giving you the distance, you get how much time it will take to reach the destination based on your current velocity, really giving you the feel of immense size of the universe.
  • Speaking of which, the sheer size. I mean, it was overwhelming.
  • The combat, while nothing amazing, was good enough I had fun doing it. Once you upgrade your stuff, you tend to enjoy it a lot more. :)

Things I didn't like:

Now, after the initial couple of hours and the several hours after that, as mentioned above, it became apparent how limited the game was despite the fact of it unimaginable size. The term "A mile wide but only an inch deep." couldn't been more truer in this case.

  • Only three alien species, all of whom seem to be standing or sitting in the same positions, in similar offices, forever. There was no variety to them. They all had limited dialogue options and riddles etc, which after a while became too repetitive.
  • No variety to the building and space stations. All of them looked the same everywhere, with just different colors.
  • No proper lore. Everything you get is vague and 'Trying to be Alien smart' AF.
  • The monoliths, the problems, distress signals solutions all of it was so limited. Very few variations, which might have looked fun at first, but after several hours, it became very cumbersome.
  • Limited planetary landscapes. While the planets themselves had huge variety, the generated results seemed to copy paste all over the planet. There were no big variations like valleys and mountains, plains and big lakes. No poles, no different climates.
  • Things missing from the demos and previews like:
    • No ship types pros and cons. All of them basically felt the same. They only looked different.
    • No proper faction system.
    • No real planetary movements. Their was a daylight cycle but it felt so weird that the planets and the moon all stayed in the same place while the star was moving. WTF.
    • No big space battles.
    • No giant sentinels walkers.
    • No portals, or atleast working ones anyway.
  • The ending. MY GOD. What a Abuses will lead to ban slap it was. After tons of hours of grinding and extremely repetitive gameplay (As mentioned above), when you finally reach the center, the one thing that kept me going, hoping for some cool psychological answer, or anything for that matter, the game pulls a fucking Mario Bros on you. I was so infuriated and disappointed by it.

This game, this tech has HUGE potential. Imagine proper politics, rich storyline, planets full of cities etc with an open world nature of this game. It would be amazing and I hope Hello Games or any other dev does something like that in the sequel, or in some other game. I have been playing around with mods, and it has been fun so far. Modders have been able to do some pretty cool things, so if you have the game, definitely check them out.

Ultimately, I had a blast playing this game, and at the same time, it was annoying and frustrating as hell. The final score is low because as a whole, the game is disappointing, but at the same time, I'm glad I played it. Like I said, very divisive game.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

Pro:
- Incredible audio visual experience.
- Story and characters (except for Jon Snow) better than the last many years of Call of Duty's.
- Silky smooth frame rate even at 4K.
- Space fighters remind me of better space games of the past ( Freelancer :( )

Con:
- Campaign really short if you don't do the side quests, there's like 6 main missions.
- Jon Snow is terribly under utilized despite being in every trailer or marketing material.
-
Spoiler: show
All the good characters die :(

Finished (and traded) Infamous Second Son, currently playing Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Copying my impressions from GAF. Really loving the game so far. It's about as good as Human Revolution was.

Started playing this, up till mission 7 so far. But have spent a good 8+ hours already, mostly hacking, looting/selling stuff and doing side quests. Here's my first impressions (PS4 Pro with the latest performance patch here).

- IQ looks great, but general art and incidental character models .. not so. The image quality and lighting is good but otherwise the game isn't exactly a looker.

- Spec-ing towards hacking and stealth is extremely fun, hacking and stealth-ing my way through the game so far. Haven't fired a single non-stun-gun bullet but keeping a shotgun and upgrading it routinely in case .. I like to keep it for close encounters.

- I read a lot about game having terrible load times but the Pro seems to load the game at a relatively snappy pace (maybe I'm used to The Witcher 3's load times). Comparing to the Giant Bomb quick look where they played the XB1 version, my game seems to load WAY faster than that.

- Most of my Praxis are going to the passive upgrades, the only active one I've got so far is a fully maxed out invisibility .. which feels like cheating at times honestly .. cause you can just stroll through laser grids etc.

- I absolutely love that you can go through the entire (or half of) Prague without any extra loads, going in and out of buildings, that massive bank, your HQ etc. Sure, the side effect is the hitching whenever the game's streaming data .. but it's better than the Human Revolution style load times. Also, frame rate, aside from those streaming hitches, has been absolutely rock solid so far. The earlier DF videos where they kept focusing on a frame drop in the Dubai elevator never happened to me. Thanks SE for patching it.

- Speaking of, the Human Revolution control scheme seems to suit stealth best, or at least that's what I'm getting the most use out of. I tried with the default scheme but sprint at triangle is extremely bizarre.

Anyway .. so far I'm very happy with the game so far, some of the side missions have been far more entertaining than the main quest so far.
