Finished 1984 by George Orwell a couple of weeks ago. A fine read but I definitely enjoyed Animal Farm more than this one. A must read for fans of dystopia.

Started A thousand splendid suns by Khaled Hosseini. I hope it's as good as The kite runner.

As anyone read The Prisoner by Omar Shahid Hamid?
I really want to read it but cannot find the PDF or anything. Need to know if it's worth it before I set aside some pocket money for it.

I need to read a book to inform myself about WWII while still having a novel-like feel, and not a history lesson.
Has anyone read 'All the Light We Cannot See' by Anthony Doerr? Heard it is supposed to be pretty good for that.. so any thoughts?

I read a couple of chapters of it at someone's place, it was quite interesting. Now that you mention it, I should probably order it.

I am reading Arch of Triumph at the moment, a very interesting but uneasy read. I would recommend to everyone who enjoys Erich Maria Remark.
I've got a very old copy lying on my bookshelf for ages. Let me know if its worth the time once you're done reading it.

Where can one buy used books in Karachi? I really want to pursue my itch on book reading after reading The Alchemist and A Tale of Two cities. Cannot pay the outrageous prices of Liberty Books with my pocket money.

After a long time got some time and finished The Artemis by Andy Weir, it was hilarious to say the least. This book is from the same guy who wrote The Martian.
One thing is sure if you are going to read it you are going to finish it in one go, like i did. its that addictive.

Well haven't read much lately due to life sucks etc etc but was looking for some stuff in store when saw The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah on shelf. Immediately got it and started reading it, however, it took me almost a month to finish it...gone are the days when i used to finish a book in a day..lol...well back to book its amazing, after The Nightingale this is another great piece by same author. with Alaskan settings and depressed atmosphere this book will haunt you . It felt like you are living the moment..must read.
