Anybody here following Ao No Exorcist Manga? I was thinking of starting at the point when the anime finished but just wanted to know if it's enjoyable enough.

havent watched the original, only the remake and it doesnt have fan service, its a shonen anime like naruto or bleach and the main protagonist is a 10yr old kid so they cant give much either. In that sense its much like Pokemon :)

Watched both of the version. The original has 62 episodes but there are sequels to continue the story. I would recommend watching the Remake as the remake has better animation and the original doesn't have the story after Greed Island so shifting from the old animation to the new one might make you loose interest. Plus the old is much more slow paced.

And there isn't any nudity. Enjoy!

Go for remake.
While Original is great with a nice ost and has some funny moments. The remake has better animation, pacing and it's still on-going. The remake will be boring to watch if you see the original first cause then you will know what's going to happen. You can watch the original later.

Though Gon's voice in remake is annoying, with crappy ost. Also, Mad house removed some funny moments for no reason.

I just watched 5 cm Per Second, and loved it... Can you guys recommend me more anime movies like this and by this i mean movies which are more reality based, like in the end they couldn't meet each other, The male character is forever alone and the female moves on or doesn't... so in short not a happy ending..

Go for Grave of Fireflies it isn't Romance but is still very touch, my eyes did get all watery. I must warn you though, its from 1980, you might not like the animation but nevertheless a true masterpiece.

@Eternal Blizzard : I'll also agree with Khawja. You must watch Grave of Fireflies. One of the most emotional anime movie I've watched....
Other than that you may like:

1) Voices of a Distant Star
2) The Place Promised in Our Early Days
3) Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo (can't remember its english name)

If you liked 5cm then you will like these

Children who chase lost voices.
Garden of words. (one of the best anime film i've ever watched)
Voice of distant star
Pale Cocoon (about 20min but one of my most fav mvs. Is amazing and your brain will keep working for whole 20 mins to grasp the story. Highly recommended. A Masterpiece .)
Eve no jikan. (Not confident enough, but just try it once. It has an anime series as well)

The guy actually had a girl friend. The chick with the glasses.

I watched this movie years ago and I still remember this much. :p
