hey i am considering to buy a 3dsXL ...how easy is it to get games for 3ds...if anyone owns a 3ds can he describe his experience so far. I am getting it for JRPGs ...not a very hardcore JRPG fan but you can mention good games here.

if u wanna get it for rpgs or jrpgs 3DS is going pretty strong here... it also has other fun games too

so far the games library is far best than any other handheld IMO !

Yes mani but i am not a very hardcore JRPG fan specially since there are so many WRPGs out...the JRPG offerings seem meager. But with that said, i fairly enjoyed the persona titles and SHMT ...although you can term me as a casual JRPG fan...so I am not so hardcore about it. Right now the only two games that are attracting me are fire emblem and Bravely default...

Please tel me if there are any other games like that on 3ds...and will only these two games warrant a purchase?...I can get it for 170 dollars right now, I am in US...so its a good price and i am having a tough time passing up on this offer.

EDIT: Also... I already own a Vita...so is the 3ds worth it?

ohh just read the thread.... finding games is tough but u can buy digital games and they r usually on sale...jrpgs can be bought for $19.99 SMT and etian odyessy

Also I have RE Revelations etc on my PS3 through PS plus... Whats attracting me right now is Fire Emblem awakening and Bravely default.

[MENTION=5948]Imran Ahmed[/MENTION] If u liked DS u would like 3DS too, MGS 3 in cutscene looks amazing while watching in 3D, I have in it ps3 but watching cutscenes in 3D is fantastic specially during ocelot boss fight when pain appears it feels like bees r right in front of us...luigi mansion is worth it..has excellent graphics...If u like portable gaming and RE than pick up revelations..its filled with lot of content specially raid mode....I have it in ps3 but i usually play it on 3DS....Bravely default looks good too...i dowloaded its demo and it demo features episode which is not in the game...

[MENTION=5948]Imran Ahmed[/MENTION] Most people say XL is great but XL and normal 3DS has has same screen resolutions...so the resolution is same but screen size is increased 90%...so u can image what will happen to graphics just like the case of DSi and DSiXL... I prefer normal 3DS

Which Dragon Quest? I'm not aware of any 3DS Dragon Quest game. There are DS versions that you can play on 3DS but they are not 3DS games.

I have a DS lying around that i dont even use. I've decided I'll stick with my Vita...invest those $200 dollars in a PS4. Right now, there are more games coming out on the Vita then on 3DS...two games (Fire Emblem, Bravely) dont warrant a purchase.

I see PS Vita beginning to emerge with the slew of games that are about to come out... Borderlands 2 , FFX/FFX-2 , Freedom Wars, Demon Gaze , Soul Sacrifice Delta and Regnarok Oddessy Ace to name a few...

I do miss turn based RPGs on the vita though....Havent seen much of them since Persona 4 Golden.
I dont mind the ported games on the Vita, Vita sells the concept of console quality games on the go.... so in a way they havent gone astray from the original formula..

Update: but that 3d Effect though :$...

@Imran Ahmed get the XL if u want to get a 3ds ! the twogames you mentioned fire emblem and bravely default are highly rated and are great RPGS !

there is one more monter hunter 3 another GREAT rpg... these 2-3 games would give u hours of gameplay on the 3ds alone, more great games would come as legend of zelda link between two worlds, rated one of the game sites goty for 2013 too !

than there are mario games, new super mario bros 2, luigis mansion 2, kingdom hearts, proffesor layton games, super smash bros is coming to wii u and 3DS ! so there are tons of fun games to be had on the 3ds !

^ I will definitly think about it, I am on a tight budget though....all PS4's are out of stock. My local gamestop barely gets one or two per month...and they go by within minutes of them getting it. I am just waiting for march, the store manager said they'd get more in march. I could pick up a 3ds right now but would slim my chances of getting a PS4 come march.

I have plenty of games on Vita to play for now.... but i am getting really impulsive about 3ds...that hardware looks sexy though...and its much more portable then a vita.

well if u got the 3dsxl a bit before like last year on blackfriday you could had snagged that beautiful zelda edition or the mario and luigi bundles for just 150$ ! which are now retailing above 200$

Hey guys, I'm considering getting a nintendo 3ds Xl in the summer but I just want to know a few things about it first.Namely,

1. Where can I get one( in karachi or through pakgamers), what's the average price and which region should I buy?
2. What's the piracy scene like? can you play pirated or cracked games on it?
3. How much do the games cost and where can I get them? Can I buy them online?
4. How's the battery life?

1: probably from any game shop keeper or if u got relatives in usa tell them to bring u one or i see some ppl selling their's here on the forums too, USA region is the best to get

2: so far one flashcart is out for it and it can play only one 3ds rom at a time... its not fully blown wide like the ds but its on its way

3: games range from 1500rs-2000rs to upto 4500rs etc maybe 5000rs too for latest titles

4: battery is good can go upto 5 hours or even more on one charge

yes u can get games from their own store but they are kinda expensive i mean they are digital but same rate as physical games. also u can do that by getting nintendo network cards just like psn cards... our pk based credit cards dont work.

yes pg members are selling games here in marketplace.
