Aoa.

I live in Khi and I am planning to visit northern areas from mid july for about 10 days in total (all travel included).

We are 3 people, My Spouse, I and my 8 year old daughter. So i need suggestions on following especially from people with first hand experience.

1. Where to go? I haven't been to anywhere apart from Muree. By looking at facebook videos, i am inclined towards Gilgit and Hunza but suggestions are welcome.

2. Shall i go by myself or get services of a tour operator company? Which tour operator is best from Khi.

3. I want to have great experience like getting good food and good travel, so how much budget should i keep for the trip.

Looking forward to your suggestions.

Thanks

I visited northern areas all the way till Khunjerab Pass from 9th to 14th June, 2018 from Gujrat. We were 5 persons. Its one hell of a drive. If u think u can drive all that much especially u r from KHI, then sure u should visit these areas. U dont want to go back to ur city when u r in these areas. This is all I can say ;) I dont know much about tour operators though. Driving on Karakoram Highway was the best drive I ever had. Gilgit is good but Hunza is the place u should really visit and stay for couple of days. I can name many places worth seeing in these areas. Best thing I would suggest u is go by-air till Gilgit as u r from KHI and then get some car on rent and visit Gilgit-Baltistan.

U can ask me anything. I'll be happy to be of any help if I can.

Pick the Mansehra > Balakot > Naran > Babusar > Chilas route instead of Besham, Dasu route as the former is shorter and better than the latter. U can stay at Naran if u cant travel all the way to Hunza in one go. There r many places in Naran worth seeing like Lake Saif-ul-Malook, Ansu Lake, Lulusar Lake, Siri, Payee, Lalazar, Shogran, Noori Top etc. While u r in Hunza u can visit Khunjerab Pass, Passu Cones, Sost, Attabad Lake, Altit and Baltit Forts, Eagles Nest, Karimabad, Nagar Valley etc. Sorry if I forgot any important place :p
