Need help plz xbox 360 gurus regarding the new update and stuff ......plz!!!!

Guys i have a big problem..recently my cousin went on live after a hiatus of about 1.5 yrs with the old
firmware.so when he logged on he got banned.now after a few days ho bought some new games like medal of honor black ops and fifa 11. Now when he tried to play the game it showed a msg play dvd and when he played it a screen popped up with the xbox 360 logo and then nothing happened.i checked gears of war 1 and gears of war 2 they worked fine but the new games wont work.since i thought it was an update related problem therefore i downloaded the new kinct update from the internet and through usb installed it on the console,but even then the games didint work.what should be the problem gurus need urgent help and solution plz help..plz ..!!!

Its already been reported a long time back... You need to get your drive firmware updated to LT+..

^ You need to take your console to a game shop and have the firmware upgraded for you. Not anyone can simply upgrade their Xbox 360's firmware.

I have downloaded this ixtreme 1.6 software so plz tell a method to flash the drive myself i have a liteon drive

You need a special equipment and proper expreince to use a special software that actually installs the firmware into your Xbox 360's DVD drive. You can't do it, have it done from a shop or one of PG's own trusty modders.
