I've been offered used system by trusted local computer shop, is it ok in price range, and is it future proof? Or 6cores pro' is must for future proof? For gaming...

Its the price from a shop keeper so not really a good deal.And depending on GPU you are going to bound with this processor it may or may not be your so called future proof since I really dont believe in this term.Try finding a used 10th gen i5..That will definitely last your longer..

Short answer: No it is not

Long answer: Depends.... Which games are we talking about, what min FPS do you want, what sort of graphic quality are you looking for, etc. You can run almost anything even on a potato PC if you optimise it and lower the settings enough.

FYI, future proofing in PC building for gaming, generally means building at least a Mid-Tier system NOW, that can still game in next 3-5 years albeit at lower settings. For reference, Mid-tier now, would be 5600X.

But if by future proofing you mean buying a PC now and upgrade it as time goes, then intel ain't a good start for a building block, as they have seperate motherboards for almost each Gen of CPUs.
