Assalamalikum, I currently have an old gaming laptop and I am looking into upgrading to a good gaming PC that can handle most AAA titles at 1080p 144hz with medium to high settings. I am looking into building a gaming PC with the RTX 3060 TI as its much cheaper than and performs equal to a 2080 Super. I had some discussion with the guy from PC Fanatics (Lahore) and he recommended me the following builds for Intel and AMD that I have attached here. Should I go for this as I feel like it might be overkill for 1080p 144hz gaming or are these builds worth it for 288k for AMD or 298.5k for Intel?

I also want to mention that I moved here from Saudi Arabia, so please also recommend me a good UPS and stabilizer setup as I don't have much idea about how you guys deal with power outages here and how do you protect your high end equipment from voltage fluctuations etc from these vicious electricity supply companies?

Someone please guide me, I am thinking about going with Ryzen 5 3600 with an aftermarket air cooler and GTX 1660 super while keeping rest of the parts same as it will be easier for future upgrades and because it will be much cheaper. Opinions and guidance in this regard please, because this is my first build and I am ignorant about this as I started PC gaming on a laptop but want a desktop now.

Not sure if you are still looking but someone else might find it helpful.

Here is what I would suggest you to get

Ryzen 5 3600 (Upgrade to 5600X in the future)
Deepcool Gammaxx 400 or Cooler Master Hyper 212
MSI B550M Bazooka (5000 series cpu support)
G Skill Trident Z 8GBx2 RAM @ 3600MHz
GTX 1660S (Upgrade to 3060ti in the future)
650W 80+ Gold PSU

Or you can save some money and go with this

Intel 10400f (Upgrade to 11th gen in the future) (Cheaper than AMD)
Deepcool Gammaxx 400 or Cooler Master Hyper 212
B460M Board (Cheaper)
8GB x 2 RAM @ 2666MHz (Cheaper)
GTX 1660S (Upgrade to 3060ti in the future)
650W 80+ Gold PSU

OP, this build is pretty good. But I suggest sticking with the stock CPU cooler since it's more than enough for a locked CPU like 10400f. Also, go with 3200mhz ram since the price difference between 2666 and 3200 is miniscule and you may never know if 11 gen Intel processor support higher MHz ram. Oh and unless you plan to go for higher end cards (rtx xx70, xx80) I suggest sticking with a solid 80+ gold 550W PSU.

Edit: One more thing, I suggest you wait for rtx 3060 instead of buying a gpu now and upgrading later. It's around the corner.

Pretty nice build, except u can save some extra bucks by getting an Msi B450 Tomahawk (now Supports 5000 series with latest bios), and Non Rgb 3600mhz Corsair Vengeance Lpx or Gskill Ripjaws V

Yeah R5 3600 is pretty solid choice with an aftermarket Cpu Air cooler, and u get an MSI B450 Tomahawk mobo and pair it with an 3600mhz 2x8 16GB CL 16 or 18 Ram, as Ryzen loves fast ram speeds

As for Gpu try checking out Amd rx 5500xt latest reviews as with latest drivers updates, the rx 5500xt is getting pretty close to Nvidia 1660 Super. And it is cheaper aa well.

And plz don't cheap out on a PSU, save atleast 20K for a Quality power supply.

And get an case with front Mesh, for increased airflow.

Assalamalikum everyone and thank you for your suggestions and responses, I really appreciate them all. I got this PC built for 255k from PC fanatics about a week ago.

CPU: R5 3600
CPU cooler: Antec A400
Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 gaming x v2
GPU: Palit RTX 3070 gaming pro
RAM: Crucial Ballistix 8x2 3200mhz
SSD: addlink 256gb SATA
HDD: Seagate 2tb
PSU: Cougar GEX 750w 80+ Gold
Case: Antec DF600 FLUX

As for ups I am using APC 1500va sinewave.

Overall it has been a pretty solid computer with very minor bottlenecks that can be fixed by locking the frame rate or increasing the settings to ultra to keep the GPU busy. I know this is overkill for 1080p but I will upgrade my monitor and CPU later on.
