[NBA] Buying a PC for under 50k W/O GPU

Hey Guys . Living in Karachi is difficult ,first our oven went bad,then our printer,now our 8 year old Core 2 Quad's mobo gave up .

But we don't blame Karachi because all those three electronic appliance lived it's good life .

So I am planning to sell off the Dell Optiplex 745 Core 2 quad Q6600 (2.4ghz),8 gigs ram,500gb hdd,ATI HD 5450 (google for more details) what else is there to it ? Well I want to know how much would it sell off for ? It won't turn on as the mobo has become faulty .The amber light issue .Orange light blinking.

Now off to the future,my dad has decided to go for a new PC .He was thinking for an i7 but I think that would be a waste of money because the PC is only used for surfing the internet(checking e-mails,watching videos and just IM) . Dont need a Monitor,keyboard,mouse or anything other peripherals.

At first,I was thinking to go for a Haswell i5 but then I saw a couple of people selling i5 skylake for 19k so I was thinking maybe I might get it under 50k . so I was wondering what combination of parts should I go for ?

PS: 50k would be the price you think I would get from the C2Q and then I'd add what's left . Shouldn't exceed 50k either way .
PPS: Don't need GPU because no gaming would be done on it and it will be connected to a simple 1600x800 res monitor so it won't need that much gpu POWAH hence I can rely on the integrated graphic powah .

Hmm, these mobos usually die after a life of 3~5 years. Anything more than 5 years is just being lucky.
I really doubt the stuff you have of your core 2 quad would sell for around 50k. THe processor is quite old gen and the gpu also is the low end. The best you would get selling the remains of your CPU would be somewhere from 10k to 20k. (depends how lucky you can get)

Regarding buying a new system. Since you wont be doing any gaming stuff then without GPU and mouse, keyboard, LCD. you can easily get a brand new i3 system o the latest gen in 35~40k.

Hahahaha I know there is no way its going to sell for 50k .I wanted to know how much would it go away as I have set a target to spend 50k for the new system .
