Salam brothers

Thinking of travelling to nanga parbat base camp. I have gone through some of the websites and would like to know if anyone has gone there and how was the experience. Also, which of the tour operators should one use? I've gone through a few of these but don't know which one should I go with....

The experience there is always soul soothing. You just fall in love with the calmness, the death trek, the beauty above and last but not least, the imagination and thinking of the people living in these remote areas now. How they can live here. What they do? What they did when there were no road access even.

That is life bro! People survive in the remotest of places :)

If you have been there, would appreciate if you can please give your feedback as to how to go about it.

I'd seriously prefer you to take a route to Chillas from mansehra via KKH Behsham-Dasu-Kohistan route. Might take you 10hrs but you won't regret it later when you come back to Karachi. It might feel hectic sitting in the bus or van or coaster and furious driving might lead you to several heart attacks but seriously this will also prepare you for the Raikot trek to Nanga Parbat. Surely, take a van from Mansehra in early morning after Fajar to 8 AM to chillas via KKH not from Kaghan-naran-babusar road. You'll regret later. However, spend a night in Chillas. Take jeep, or toyota to raikot bridge the next morning at 7-8AM it will take about 1-2 hours I remember. then reaching there, Take jeep from Raikot bridge, you'll see many of them standing there. Take their number as they are booked for 2-way drive. Tell them that you'll coming after 2 days or whenever you want., so he will be there at FairyMeadows right where he will drop you. Note down his name and number. Well, it will take 1 hr-1.5hrs in the jeep till you cross tattu viillage and so. Then there is a walking trek which you'll have to cover. It will take 3-4 hrs straight for us to climb up to fairymeadows. It will already be 4 PM maybe till you reach on the top. So you'll rest enjoy. Most probably you wont see Nanga Parbat's face becuase of low lighting due to cloudy weather. But if you're lucky enough you'll get to see on the first day too.
