My 4tb Western digital elements external hdd fell down

Help me out here guys ,
Bought a 4tb wd external HDD from Amazon about a month ago it accidently fell down and now my PC doesn't detect it
Was using it for PS4 storage but even PS4 is not detecting it
Took it to a few repair shops in pindi and everyone told me a hdd which fell down can't be repaired 99 percent of the time
Any solution to this guys is it possible for it to be fixed

Doubtful it can be fixed. HDDs are very easy to break.

Can you hear anything when you plug it in or is it completely silent?

It makes a cracking sound for 5 6 seconds then goes quite the light on it stays on my laptop installed it's driver but doesn't show the drive

It's probably dead then. Cracking noise would be the drive attempting to spin up, but then failing so it goes quiet.

I too have a WD 1TB drive that met the same fate.

Cracking sound means dead hdd. Feel sad for your hdd. Time to buy new hdd.

^ since everything seems all done, the least you could do is dismantle the external covering. and try and use it like an SD drive. the box and the HD usually are disconnected from the fall ( in the case that the hd isnt getting necessary power).

try and do this, you can easily watch youtube videos for tutorials on how to dismantle a ext. HD

my WD 500gb External Hard Drive Dropped and stop working like you say
So i Put it in Air Tight Box and put in Freezer for 30min after that it work for 7-8min in which i grab my important data
try it
