Singleplayer :

Modern Warfare 3 will begin where the second game finished when the US is under siege by Russian forces, Vladmir Makarov is on the loose, and Captain Josh "Soap" MacTavish and Captain John Price are on the run with Russian informant, Nikolai.

While on the run, the three characters flee to a safehouse in Dharmasala, India, where they are then attacked by Makarov's men. During this firefight, the player will take control of a loyalist who works for Nikolai and is called Yuri. Due to their location in the safehouse being known, the characters then flee via helicopter.

Where next? No other than Manhattan, New York City, where Russia is launching an attack on the city through the use of a fleet of ships that are positioned on the Hudson River. After the United States calls in Delta Force, the player will then take control of a Delta Force operative called Frost. Your commander is a guy named Sandman and your goal is to open the area for a counterattack by taking out a jamming tower that lies on top of the New York Stock Exchange.

While gunning down enemy choppers, Delta Force flies out of New York on a Blackhawk helicopter to the harbor where they will infiltrate and take down a Russian submarine that is believed to be coordinating the attacking.

Modern Warfare 3 Prestige Shop :

Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer was revealed during the opening briefing of Call of Duty XP. Along with the lots of details that were revealed, something called Prestige Shop was briefly mentioned. While they haven't dived into specifics just yet, the Prestige Shop has quietly and quickly appeared in a recent video.

iMW3 » have uploaded a screen print of the Prestige Shop menu that appeared in the video. Although it's blurry, we can just about make out the options that are listed in the shop menu.

MW3 Multiplayer - Prestige Shop
  • Extra Custom Class
  • Reset All Stats
  • Double XP
  • Double Weapon XP
  • Unlock Gear
  • Challenges 1
  • Challenges 2
  • Challenges 3

This will most likely be welcomed by hardcore fans who go all the way by Prestiging up until the very end. The game's maximum level is 80 but how many Prestiges there are is currently unknown. It appears that each Prestige will give you tokens that can be used to 'buy' whatever you want from the list above.

MW3 – New ‘Bomb’ Mode and 32 Player Games

First of all, there looks to be a new multiplayer mode called ‘Bomb’
What we’re really excited about though, the below screenshot suggests that games can now house up to 32 players, the previous limit being 18 players. Whether that will just be on PC, or on Xbox 360 and PS3 as well – we don’t and probably wont know until this weekend but it would be great if we can see 16 players on each team on CoD MW3.

FANBOY: Is this where i think i am?! MW3?

SHGAMES: Oh.. You can't be here.. *Bang*

Everyone, Elite subscriber or not, will be able to purchase downloadable content just as you've been able to in previous games. If you do opt to pay the as-of-yet unannounced monthly fee, you'll get all of the "playable game DLC" for Modern Warfare 3 free of charge. That includes any map packs, though it's unclear if the way that's phrased -- "playable game DLC" -- means there might be some sort of non-playable DLC that even Elite subscribers will have to pay for, or if it's simply a strangely-worded statement. (It could simply mean things like avatars and themes for PSN and Xbox Live.) Another feature already announced for subscribers is a Call of Duty-themed web series.

MW3 Achievement List :

Modern Warfare 3 | Level 80

Multiplayer Vids

Survival Mode

Survival Mode is a part of Spec Ops, but the concept is completely different than the mission-based Spec Ops.

It is playable on all Multiplayer Maps, so you can also use it as training for learning the maps before jumping online.

It is a brand new wave-based mode where a 1-2 player(s) must fight off increasingly difficult waves of enemies until they are overcame by them.

As the rounds progress the enemies become smarter, aim better and get better weapons. There are also different types of enemies, see below.

Confirmed enemy types : Soldiers, Attack Dogs, Chemical Soldiers, Kamikaze Soldiers, Kamikaze Dogs, Juggernauts (and different variants who all have their weakness i.e. with riot shields, weak to explosives, weak to headshots), and Air Support (Attack Choppers, Pavelows...)

You earn money as you kill enemies, get assists, complete challenges and more. You can use that money to buy features from any of the three armories.

When both players die, it's game over. When one player is downed, however, it is possible to revive him using a syringe.

You also have an armor. (Represented by a percentage at the bottom of the screen. When it runs out, it does not replenish. You have to buy another one from the Equipment armory)

You start off with a pistol (the Five-seveN), 2 flashbangs and 2 frag grenades. It is possible to pick up enemy weapons.

In each map there are 3 armories. A weapon armory (represented by the Pistol icon), an Equipment armory (represented by the Frag icon) and an Air Support armory (represented by the Harrier icon)

In the weapon armory, you can buy refill your ammo, buy attachments, buy new weapons and upgrade them. Weapons have different pricings but also behave in different manners, as certain weapons in Spec Ops are purposely made overpowered, unlike in Multiplayer.

In the equipment armory, you can refill your frags, flashbangs, buy claymores, C4, syringes and probably armor. You can also buy turrets, automatic grenade launchers and more.

In the Air Support armory, this is essentially where you call for help. You can call in a Delta Squad of AI-controlled computers to drop from a helicopter and help you fight. You can also call in a Riot Shield squad to support you. It is also possible to buy Air Support such as Predator Missiles and AC-130's.
