Richard Madden has entered talks to join the cast of Marvel's The Eternals. Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe reached its culmination with last month's Avengers: Endgame, which concluded the franchise's so-called Infinity Saga (a story that began with Iron Man in 2008). July's Spider-Man: Far From Home will then bring Phase 3 to an official close and pave the way for the as-yet unannounced Phase 4 film slate. While Marvel Studios has yet to confirm any movie release dates beyond Far From Home, it's known they're actively developing projects like The Eternals and Black Widow for release in 2020.

Written by Matthew and Ryan Firpo (Ruin) and directed by Chloé Zhao (The Rider), The Eternals will bring the cosmically-powered ancient human beings to life in the MCU for the first time. The film's cast has been coming together in recent months, between Angelina Jolie signing on for a lead role (supposedly, that of Sersi), and Kumail Nanjiani and
South Korean actor Ma Dong-seokreportedly signing on for as-yet unknown parts. Now, it appears the movie has filled another key spot in its ensemble.

The Wrap is reporting that Madden has entered talks to star opposite Jolie, Nanjiani, and Dong-Seok in The Eternals cast, with details on his character under-wraps for the time being. However, in their own report, Variety claims that Madden is lining up to portray the Eternal Ikaris in the film. Meanwhile,THR has gotten word the movie revolves around the love story between the cosmically-superpowered Ikaris and Sersi, an Eternal who'd prefer to reside among the regular humans of earth than with other Eternals.

The comic book version of Ikaris was created by Jack Kirby in 1976 and has continued to be a major player in Eternals comic book stories over the years. More recently, for example, he played a key role in a 2006 mini-series (written by Neil Gaiman and illustrated by John Romita, Jr.) where the Eternals have forgotten their original identities and it falls to Ikaris to reawaken them, upon regaining his memories and powers. Gaiman's storyline served to modernize the Eternals in the Marvel Comics universe, so it's possible certain elements will be adapted for the MCU. After all, a similar plot-line could serve to explain
why the Eternals didn't explicitly show up during the Infinity Saga, yet have always been around in some form.

Of course, with so little known at the moment, The Eternals might end up going in a very different direction story-wise. Reports about the film including a romance between Ikaris and Sersi have been around since 2018, which could mean they're accurate... or they're based on an earlier and now outdated script draft. Either way, Madden's a fine pick for Ikaris, assuming that's the plan. The role plays to the
Game of Thrones and Bodyguard actor's heartthrob persona, and further reunites him with Disney, following his well-received turn as "Prince Charming" in the studio and Kenneth Branagh's live-action Cinderella. Marvel has increasingly cast the Mouse House's trusted collaborators in their movies of late (see also: Jolie), and for good reason. An actor like Madden should only help to bring additional attention to an adaptation of a relatively obscure comic book property like The Eternals.

[h=1]Marvel's The Eternals Movie Release Date Confirmed[/h]

Marvel Studios has announced the official release date for The Eternals. Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe came to a close with this month'sSpider-Man: Far From Home, which served as something of an epilogue to April's Avengers: Endgame, but also the bridge to the incoming wave of MCU films. And while much of Marvel's Phase 4 movie lineup will be composed of sequels featuring established superheroes like Doctor Strange and Thor, there are also some newcomers to the franchise.
Among the latter are The Eternals, a group of super-powerful and semi-immortal beings who've secretly resided on earth since its beginnings. Created by Jack Kirby, The Eternals comic books are being adapted for the MCU by acclaimed director Chloé Zhao (The Rider), with the Eternals being portrayed by a cast that's so far said to include Richard Madden, Angelina Jolie, Kumail Nanjiani, and Salma Hayek, among others. It's long been expected to serve as one of the first movies in Phase 4, too.

The official MCU Phase 4 slate was unveiled today during Marvel Studios' Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2019 and, sure enough, The Eternals made the cut. Marvel announced a November 6, 2020 release date for the film at its SDCC panel, and went on to confirm its central cast (which includes all of the aforementioned names, and more). You can check out the movie's official logo below.

A less competitive November release date makes sense for Eternals (as it's now officially titled), seeing as it's a non-sequel based on a relatively lesser-known Marvel comic book property. The November frame has served MCU films like Thor: The Dark World and Doctor Strange well in the past (as far as the box office is concerned), and should do the same for Eternals in 2020. At the moment, the movie is set to open against Sony's animated musical Vivo in theaters, and will arrive two weeks before Warner Bros. and Denis Villeneuve's big-budget Dune adaptation opens stateside.

Eternals will be the first non-sequel released as part of Phase 4, just ahead of the newly-announced
Shang-Chi movie (which opens in February 2021). The pair are now confirmed to be joined by Doctor Strange and Thor sequels - titled Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Thor: Love and Thunder, respectively - in addition to the already-filming Black Widow, which will kick things off in 2020. Suffice it to say, between Eternals and everything else announced at SDCC, Phase 4 has the makings of a pretty exciting and ambitious venture for Marvel on the big screen alone (to mention nothing of its Disney+ series).

[h=1]Marvel's Eternals Cast Confirmed[/h]

Marvel Studios officially confirms who will star in their Phase 4 movie Eternals. As details of what could be in store for the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Avengers: Endgame started to emerge last year, one of the surprising inclusions was Eternals. In the comics, The Eternals are a group of incredibly powered humans created by Celestials and were created by Jack Kirby. The reason for the surprise over their introduction in the MCU was a result of how little-known the property and the characters are.
That is sure to change now that Eternals will be one of the first films to come out in Phase 4 of the MCU. Marvel hired Chloe Zhao to direct the movie last year, but everything else about the project has been relatively quiet. This is changing now that the movie is confirmed, and that includes Marvel announcing who will star after months of rumors.

During their Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios confirmed the impressive cast list for Eternals, along with the film's 2020 release date. The cast list includes those previously linked to the project and some new surprises: Salma Hayek as the team's leader Ajax, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Don Lee as Gigamesh, Angelina Jolie as Thena, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Lia McHugh as Sprite, and Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo.

The announcement by Marvel Studios confirms previously reported castings of Hayek, Madden, Jolie, Lee, and Nanjiani. However, the surprises are Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Ridloff, and Lia McHugh, who were all not previously linked to Eternals. Henry is best known for his role in Atlanta, but also has a number of high profile movies coming up, such as DC's Joker. Ridloff has previously appeared in The Walking Dead and will be the first deaf character in the MCU. McHugh is a relative newcomer, but has a role in this year's horror film The Lodge.

With these confirmations, what some may be surprised by is what also wasn't confirmed. There were previous rumors that Keanu Reeves and
Millie Bobby Brown were being sought after for roles in Eternals, but that is not the case - at least right now. It was also previously believed that Jolie would play the character known as Sersi, but that is also not true. If Sersi is in the movie, it appears she will be played by someone else. The confirmation of all of this news for Eternals is just a piece of what Marvel Studios announced tonight at San Diego Comic-Con, so check out the rest of Screen Rant's coverage to catch up on all the news.

What is peoples obsession with Battle Royale genre. 6 minutes to find a match, 3 minutes to setup a match, 2 minutes to land, 10 minutes for scavanging maybe 2 3 gunfigts and its over. Multiplayer landscape is looking absolute dogshit.
I tried playing Apex Legends once. Couldn't find a gun for 5 minutes straight. If I found a gun, I couldn't find the right ammo for it. Got killed fighting with my fists. Uninstalled it the next day.

After I watched it, I never felt like i watched a show. It was a friggin journey. I got way too attached to Thorfinn and seeing him grow up and find himself and get rid of all the negativity inside of him was just pure bliss.
