This turned out to be a much better game than I expected, especially after the incredibly shitty original reveal. Would recommend it easily for people looking for good Marvel based games and to wash away that Avengers games stank from their palettes.

Great to hear that. I was also pretty surprised by the generally positive reviews. Definitely next on my list to play. Holding off the purchase atm though as I want to play the GTA trilogy first and then move onto this.

Alright so I cant believe that I created this thread dissing the game after the first look and then ended up loving it once i was done with it.

This has to be the most under-rated game of this year. Its so good that the 81 meta does not do justice to it. Absolutely amazing piece of art this game is.

Impeccable writing, outstanding characters, enjoyable combat and great looking game. The main show for me was the writing and fun characters of this game and a very diverse (and super pretty) set of locales that the game took you to, wonderful art direction +1. The banter between characters especially the ones between Drax and Rocket are super super funny. Even supporting characters like Mantis, Cosmos and warlock are extremely funny. All in all this was an excellent game and i had an absolute blast playing it.

Completed 9 Chapters so far.

Combat feels lackluster in polish; aiming and target switching, as well as repetitive.

For the writing and comedy alone this game is pretty amazing.

its like you focus on dialog or the battles ...

definitely a must play AAA quality game.

Finally got around to complete it.

Pretty long ass game.

The combat wasn't the strong point for this game, but the writing and direction were superb.

Easily the most underrated game.

I honestly think the game's writing is better than either of the movies. This has more GOG vibes than the movies itself, it is SO good.

Played 6 chapters so far.

Pleasantly surprised by the excellent job they did at adapting the GoTG universe, which is the highlight of the game for sure.

Gameplay leaves a lot to be desired though. Its getting super repetitive already and what's there isn't very engaging.
