LG phones with fake IMEIs

Whats up with fake EMEIs on LG phones checked a V30 it was registered with qmobile emei and a dual sim G7 with some fighter mobile imei.

Should I buy or run away from such devices? Also if I upgrade them to android 10 will it get locked again ?

Would not recommend buying them because PTA blocks duplicate IMEIs.

If the original phone (QMobile) is being used and the LG phone with switched IMEI is also being used, there will be two phones with the same IMEI at the same time. Both will get blocked.

Every recent LG phone i have checked has this issue was about to buy a G7 and it had both IMEI of some fighter mobile.

I guess it will be impossible to find a genuine handset.

Personally, I've bought at least 2 phones with confirmed FAUX IMEIs & i personally didn't face any issues during my use.

As for whether you should buy such phones or not is for you to decide.
