GSM tablet from Aliexpress. NOC problems

I just ordered a GSM tablet from Aliexpress via DHL. It arrived in Lahore on 26 July but delivered to Brooker. I called DHL helpline and they said you need to authorize us + PTA NOC + pay custom fee. They said they will deliver documents to me on 8 August. They said the delay of documents is due to the Eid holidays (I hope they will not add GoDown taxes for these 10 days delay) . Now i am worried that how can i get PTA NOC letter because according to PTA site i need to pay 100$ application processing fee and some type approval fee also. I read somewhere in PG forum that receiver also needs to pay duty tax, GST, GoDown charges and civil aviation charges.

So what would be the expected charges on 60$ tablet and after how many days they will send me NOC?

After some savings, I ordered this cheap tablet for my father because I want to gift this tablet to him on his birthday But it looks like after all the taxes it will cost me more than the original tablet price. :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:

How to get it, u simply email PTA with the following procedure

1. Email address : [email protected]
2. Add in your query of the Cell phone model + IMEI if you know + reason ( personal or business )
3. Personal phones 3 are allowed per month , For business ( NTN + Tax return copy emailed to pta if they ask )
4. Add in your personal address or consignment address ( same where u get your postal ) and contact numbers and wait for 10 days to get it at the mentioned address

The purpose is to classify the phones as category in which country are they being used without any International claims.

This goes for International baggage claims as well via flights

Thanks Jshak. I just received documents but IMEI is NOT written in these documents. Product description is "Sample Of Tablet PC".
Ab kia main kisi aur tablet ka IMEI likh kay bhej don PTA ko cuz agent ko bhi yaad nhi hai IMEI no.

Is It Important to have IMEI because my documents haven't mentioned any IMEI of the device and the seller also don't know the IMEI .

how do you get packages from USPS?

for those who have ordered some stuff from USA, wanted to know how USPS packages came here? Like I am pretty sure USPS doesnt have an office in Pakistan, so what company ships the packages? and do they come to your house? what if your not at your house? and they don't ask for like 'extra' money when they drop the package do they (ya I realise this may be a stupid question, but better safe than sorry).

And in case the package gets stuck at customs or something, where does it stay since USPS doesnt exist in pakistan..

Need a tidy bit of you expert's help.

I'm looking to buy 4 iPhone 6. What's the best way to have them imported to Lahore. What steps are usually involved. Total purchase would be around $2,600. How much would be the duty? What are the workarounds for any *difficult situations*?

Your purchase via dhl or any courier will be at risk and customs will rip u with charges. Ask someone to hand carry it
