i want to install ssd in my laptop can it be done? its hp r15 247 tu and i use this laptop just for internet and movies.problem is that its hdd which is 500gb is very slow and most of time in task mgr hdd usage is always high and this affects the speed of laptop. now i want to replace it with ssd as boot drive.is this possible i can add ssd +hdd or i have to replace existing hdd
As opethian said, you can remove your DVD Drive, get an HDD caddy and add an SSD or HDD into that, I'd recommend shifting your hard drive in the caddy, and having the SSD for the OS in the main internal drive bay.
OR
Make one time investment, get a 500GB SSD and use that as your main drive.
That's what I've done, and I keep my SSDs every time I sell a laptop. Haven't gone back to using HDDs and can't think of how slow things will be if I ever go back to using one.
