information req about V ptcl wireless

i need info about v ptcl actualy i want to know about the average down speed and also the price per hour and how it works??? also does it get disconnected too often or not???

actually i depends upon area and distance from BTS of VPTCL if u live in conjested area and it is far away from BTS as in my case u can get upto 4-5 Kbps while if not u can get upto 17 Kbps which i witness at my friends home it also get disconnected often while the price is 10rs fro 8am to 8 pm and 5 rs from 8pm to 8 am

hmm I don't have a personal experience with V-PTCL but I didn't heard many positive comments about it.. if you have anyother alternative like DSL or a good cable net then go for it instead of V-PTCL

I think DSL is a better option. Nowadays you can get it free of installation charges if u buy 4 month package which is approximately around Vptcl price.

ptcl v is dirty cheap... but the service is pretty slow... connection speed is about 115.something kbps.... but it operates no where in that region.... speed is just a tit faster than ptcl... i have used it but personally didn't like it.... i use it only for emergencies

well i have VPTCL the prices are 10rs from 8am to 8pm and 5rs from 8pm to 8am.
The browsing speed is a bit faster than dial-up.
i live in rawalpindi and usually i get download speed's of around 10KBps ( without Dap) with Dap i get speeds ranging from 10KBps to around 25KBps
and u can get the one i am using that is ZTE VPTCL for 2000 rs with 2000 rs free balance also

VPTCL is not good until it inside your home. My friend Khurum he is a Engineer he had put an antina in VPTCL and the signal is jumper up to 10 to20 Kbps and more faster in the morning..

yeah i also use an external antenaa which really boosts ur speed

i dont think Vptcl Internet is pre activated . U hav to activate it from ISB . write an application and send it to ISB head office .after process they send username and pass .I didnt personally experience it one of my frnd told me. internet activate ker ne k liye kafi lambi kahani hai.
