How to start game programming!

Rapchik! Can you pls pls pls post binary .exe version(with all resources included) of ur iphysics CAR Demo or just mail it to me. I can't go through setting up irrlicht and iphysics, just to chk out this demo. Any other demos besides this?

I will bring Books 2night inshallah!

Wow its like my wildest dream to be a game developer i can feel my self being exited to hell!!! as i read this...
hey buddies i need some info. well first would be ... do i need any specific degree to be able to develop games or self study can do it ?? i mean are u ppl qualified i mean degree wise or have u just learnt programming via books and giving it a shot??

Well im a student mateen! Im in A Levels! Newho, no degrees just learnt everything bymyself either from books or the net! You just gotta have the interest and the want to learn! Youll find everything you wanna learn on the net!

I am BE Computers so thats where I started programming. But rapchick is right In Pakistan you basically are on your own. You can learn general programming or become 2D, 3D artist but thats it, Its not gonna make you into a Game Developer.

1st thing 1st! Know your aptitude. What can you do better than others. If you are an artistic type go for Game Artist job. If you can do problem solving you can be Game Programmer and if you are a creative person Game Designing is for you. So what are you gonna do?

Mr. aameeshah that was some info u got me there.. but ive had made my choice earlier so i didnt even see the Game Artist and Game Programmer Page i wanna be a Game Designer....
Some more questons i have and i will be needing few tips
my next queston is what hardware and software is required for game designing ?? also What books sites u recommend for me to get started .. for the beginning i figure i'll be on my own so i'll be all in one i think...

tell you what....game designing is not what you are thinking rite now.........and also it is a complex thing


If you so wanna make your own games.......why not learn flash....its fast its easy......and you will many institutes that offer flash courses.
